My favorite books are
Anything by Terry Pratchett.
People are always surprised when I tell them
I grew up on a goat farm in rural Virginia.
When I'm not running games I'm...
Reading history and folklore books, writing for personal projects, or making dice.
How Eli runs games
I like to mix combat and role play as equally as I can and give each player time to shine. I love working with players tô make awesome moments happen and when players engage with the world around them. I'm much more interested in rule of cool, tempered with Rules as Written than anything else.
Featured Prompts
My favorite trope is...
Found family. I also really love a villain that treats the PCs with indifference.
Rules are...
Important but should be tempered with flexibility 99% of the time.
When it comes to voices
I love doing voices but like anyone I've got a limit so some NPCs will sound the same.
Eli's ideal table
I want my players to take the world and story seriously because I find that if they do then the funny moments are funnier and the emotional moments hit harder.

I love it when a player
Asks me to work with them to make a story moment happen. I consider everyone at my table to be the main characters of the story and want them to talk to me about what challenges they want their characters to face.
I think it's a red flag when players...
Don't want to fill out a consent form cause it's a great tool to make sure everyone is going to vibe at the table.
I think min/maxing...
Is mostly fine. There's nothing wrong with optimizing your character to be great at what they do as long as you're engaged with the story and world.
