About Trevor

Hey there, adventurers! I'm Trevor. I have enjoyed exploring the worlds of Dungeons and Dragons, both as a player and a game master. Tabletop RPGs have brought me so much joy – from the limitless creativity to the unforgettable stories and the amazing friendships built through our epic quests. Along the way, I've also explored other tabletop RPGs like Nimble, Blades in the Dark, Dune: Adventures in the Imperium, The Avatar Legends RPG, and My Little Pony: Tales of Equestria. Knowing these different systems and stories and the various game mechanics has opened my eyes to what makes a TTRPG truly fun and has helped me level-up my storytelling skills. When you join my table, you can expect a friendly and inclusive atmosphere where everyone, regardless of their experience level, can feel at ease exploring their characters and the rich world of our campaign. So, gather your gear, bring your sense of adventure, and let's dive into the amazing worlds of Dungeons and Dragons and beyond. It's time to create your legendary tale!

I got started GMing...

At work i played through the D&D 5e adventure for the Sunless Citadel. The DM offered to kill my character and gave me the chance to run the game. Ive never looked back and am always planning my next game. I run a game every week.

My favorite books are

Top fiction book would be Project Hail Mary, followed closely by Yumi and the Nightmare Painter, the Sunlit Man and all the Brandon Sanderson books. Non-fiction I loved Atomic Habits, a lot of game master books Return of the Lazy Dungeon Master, So You Want to Be a Game Master, .

When I'm not running games I'm...

Reading various fantasy books, building software as a software engineer. Playing online games such as Marvel Rivals and Super Smash Bros. Watching Marvel movies. Spending time with family longboarding, running, walking or hiking.

How Trevor runs games

As a game master, I aim to make our adventures super immersive, taking you to a world filled with wonder, excitement, and fantastic possibilities. Whether we're diving into pre-written or homebrew adventures, I'll set the scene and adapt to your choices, preparing adventures that follow the same thread. By incorporating your character's backstory and providing opportunities for you to use your unique skills, I strive to make each session engaging and memorable. I'm always working on learning the rules and improving my mastery of the game, but I also value suggestions and input from my players. Together, we'll create a collaborative and dynamic gaming experience.

Trevor's ideal table

I like to do a combination of roleplay and combat. I try my best to make sure that all players at the table get the spotlight. I'm not a professional voice actor by any means. I enjoy seeing the story progress and the adventurers face and overcome challenges.

I am for a vibe that's...

about having fun, enjoying the game. Experiencing a break from reality through fantasy character.

I think it's a red flag when players...

Hog the spotlight and it can drain the fun of other players at the table. As a game master I try to moderate my games so that everyone at the table is able to have game time and make a meaningful impact on the world the game is based in.

I think metagaming...

is fun for some players. I prefer playing the character or the story. It's important for a character to have flaws and weaknesses. Metagaming can drain some of the fun away as now combat becomes the focus and roleplay less prevalant. Or roleplay is only done by a single player.
