About polterdice
Hello hello, I'm Spirit and ever since I started playing tabletop roleplaying games in the derelict halls of junior high, I have been thoroughly engrossed in the medium. Though that was 8 years ago now and I have gone on to do other projects in the field. For example, my experience comes mostly from being a professional Game Master running TTRPG Clubs for local Libraries. I have had that amazing job for three years and have met all manner of person interested in rolling some dice. I work hard to foster a table that anyone will feel welcome at and am inspired by systems such as Dungeons & Dragons, Powered by the Apocalypse, Kids on Bikes/Brooms, Coriolis, and Daggerheart. I am a vtuber and as such will not be showing my face, this is for my personal comfort. All my games will be hosted with my avatar or with voice only. I'm going through a bit of a rebrand so I apologize for any confusion.

I got started GMing...
In high school when I first found channels teaching beginners how to play Dungeons & Dragons. I fell in love and immediately began to try convincing all of my friends to play with me even though it was like herding cats. When the pandemic happened I delved deeply into reading all the books I could.
When I'm not running games I'm...
Journaling, writing about my day or organizing myself in my planner with fancy pens and stickers brings me joy. It also helps me keep myself making progress on my projects. Projects like DIY crafts for clothes and art! I love making things that are physical as well as with words.
How polterdice runs games
A marked visual flair to my narrations defines the world around us, every city is alive and every player is carefully considered. The narrative my party wants to tell comes first and I am not afraid to shift pieces around the set dressing to make it more suited to those at my table. I have plentiful experience teaching people how to play games I run, I have taught D&D combat to seven year olds and guided troupes of teenage girls to slaying dragons on multiple occasions (if I had a nickel...) so don't you worry about being too new or bringing someone that has never played to my table.

I once ran a session...
Where a pair of teenage girls slayed a dragon in but an hour and a half with no backup or warm up. Twice. Once was underwater.
When it comes to voices
I do voices quite vaguely, they are not my strong point but that does not mean I do not put on a show. I enjoy embodying my characters and putting as much care into them as the worldbuilding around them. I may not to an accent, but I will become the meek shopkeeper or the brusque innkeeper.
polterdice's ideal table
At my table I would love roleplayers who are eager to try new things and learn everything there is to know about both their characters as well as the world around them. That does not mean that there is no room for min-maxers as players who play their characters to full mechanical potential have a special place in my heart. I hope to curate a diverse table where each player adds a new facet to the game being played.
