About Phoenix

I am Phoenix, an enby game master who lives in the middle of the United States. I'm very proficient as a game master, having played and run games for more than 20 years. I love the hobby, and have tons of fun with each and every game I'm a part of. I love preparing intricate worlds and stories, only for the party to run through them like a steamroller and leave me improvising every time! I am a writer and an avid wargamer as well, so I love developing stories with other players and coming up with hardscrabble strategic combats balanced for my player's skill and abilities, though I do know when to tone down the difficulty, if the players aren't enjoying the game.

How Phoenix runs games

I am a huge believer in player driven stories with ongoing meta narratives. I build a world for us to play in, and let you make the call on where and how to play. My combats tend to be stylish and high stakes, with set pieces and complex design, but integrated such that a new player has every opportunity to shine. If physical combat isn't your thing, and you find social intrigue or deduction more fun, you've come to the right place! I love giving every play style in my many and varied groups the chance to strut their stuff.
