About Phil Wert
I've been playing TTRPGs since the mid-1980s and have been gamemastering almost as long. I love high fantasy settings and want to take you along for a fantastic ride as we play the most popular games together. I mainly focus on D&D and have extensive experience running adventures in Fifth Edition. As a high school teacher, I run my school's D&D club, so I'm very accustomed to helping new players learn the ropes. I also run high-end games for very experienced players as well. Join up and let's see where the journey takes us!

How Phil Wert runs games
I mostly adhere to the RAW (Rules as Written), but also like to be flexible when the situation warrants. Roleplaying and voices are something I'm quite comfortable with, but running very crunchy tactical combat is also something I enjoy as well. I like to add realism to my games without getting bogged down with minutiae, which is a fine line. Player agency is important, but so is providing actionable scenarios for players to explore, while providing meaningful choices and real consequences. Come along and see what great adventures we can journey on together!
Phil Wert's ideal table
My day job is teaching high school, so I'm used to interacting with many different kinds of personalities. Because of this, I'm very with having an eclectic mix at my table. I like having a good bit of structure to ensure the game moves along, although it's very important to have room for laughs as well.
