About Nick
Hello, my name is Nick and I have been a writer and TTRPG Game Master for close to 10 years now. I love crafting serious and inventive roleplay experiences that blend humor, tragedy, and ingenuity to help players get the most out of both their character and overall experience at the game table. I am also a High School English, History, and Drama teacher.

How Nick runs games
I like to encourage roleplay and deep character dives that help develop the simple TTRPG character and class systems into a fully formed and realized idea that allows players to truly embody the role they play. Combat, while challenging, is often a time to show off both ingenuity and tactical thinking, but not so nerve rackingly difficult that you have a mild heart attack every time a creature attacks your character. Personally, I am much more interested in the story we create together than your ability to do 150 damage a turn, though I will say that it definitely leads to some exciting moments.

Nick's ideal table
A quote from a friend of mine: "I think your table vibe is comfortable but also ambitious. Like you make it feel so comfortable for everybody and give people space to learn without criticism. Also ambitious because you’re willing to try new things based on what the players are like with a “yes, and” approach"

I am for a vibe that's...
Ambitious
I love it when a player
Gets into the groove, role plays their heart out, and tries unorthodox things to complete the mission
I think it's a red flag when players...
Say things like "I am only doing what my character would do" and then proceed to do the most heinous and vibe ruining thing possible.
