Emma is Great at telling a story and engaging her players. When we played I had a ton of fun and you will too!

Emma is currently my favorite DM. Even though I haven’t been playing for many years (started playing a little before they did) I’ve played with a dozen DMs/GMs, if one-shots are included, and Emma’s my favorite so far. Emma works hard and does a great job of making sure everyone is comfortable, included, and having fun. They’re a kind and caring person, who I’ve known since before I started playing. Except for a couple one-shots, I’ve only played DnD 5e (as of the time of writing this) but Emma has also been running other systems with very different mechanics (Blades in the Dark, etc.) which have affected their DMing in good ways. One of those one-shots I’ve played in other systems was GMed by them. Only one other player and I were able to make it to a session, so instead of our regular campaign Emma offered some options. We played a game I had never heard of before, Daggers and Dalmatians, and had a lot of fun. I would sign up to also play in the campaign Emma’s offering here if I was allowed to, but I’m already playing in another Icewind Dale campaign they’re running, so “spoilers” make me ineligible.

Played my first game of Mörk Borg with Emma. They were great at setting the scene and bringing the world to life. They also gave ample opportunity for us to shape the story ourselves.

Emma ran a really moody and well thought out Mörk Borg oneshot. It was really well written and fully realised. The group were all players who did not know one another and Emma ensured that there was plenty of scope in the game for players to interact and get over the initial nerves. Emma clearly prepared and ensured that people knew boundaries and used appropriate tools to ensure player safety, this was espcially important given that it was a horror game and Emma game the right amount of attention to this. The game itself was exceptionally fun. Emma was a compitent, confident GM. It transpired that they had only played Mörk Borg twice but it did not show at all, it could be assumed that they had been playing for years. I'd thoroughly recommend Emma as a GM and would happily play in more of their games.

I've been a player for almost 4 decades. When the pandemic started, Emma joined one of my games. I taught her the basics, and she became a great player. She has since become a DM... But not just any DM... She's perhaps the most gifted natural DM I've ever played with. Seriously. In my whole playing career, she might be the best DM I've ever played with. Best DM I know, except for me of course 😉
