Lost mine and below! The Shattered obelisk.
A forgotten mine. A fading legend. And whispers of a power that refuses to stay buried.
About the adventure
This is a long campaign ranging from levels 1-12 beginning with a pretty light plot mainly adventuring and character development then advancing to a plot unravelling a mystery with elements of eldritch horror. Nestled on the northern Sword Coast, between Neverwinter Wood and the Sword Mountains, is the town of Phandalin. Centuries ago, Phandalin was a thriving settlement with deep ties to its neighboring communities. But then bandits overran the town, and Phandalin lay abandoned for centuries. Only in the past few years have settlers built a new village on the ruins of the old. These townsfolk hope to grow Phandalin through hard work, camaraderie, and the shared purpose of building a lasting home. Threatening their efforts and their survival are bandits, brigands, and monsters.

Proficiencies
Players say this GM is great at:
Creativity
Voices
Rule of Cool
Jake has been our DM in our campaign for about 6 months and he is great! He is well informed in playing the game and is great for beginners looking to get into dnd for the first time. He has alot of patience for people and will offer help to those who need it. His story telling is great and he is very good a setting the scenery so you get a good idea of how the area is layed out or how the location looks. His voice acting is great and can get a good chuckle out of people. Overall he is great at dnd and would be a perfect dm role for any campaign.
I'm very new and was grateful to have a DM (and other players) who helped me with rules and working with Roll20! Jake kept things fun and to-the-rules, but also helped make what I was trying to do in combat possible even when I would forget the rules! I'm happy that our one-shot turned into a two-shot!
Character creation
Creating your character
Create a level 1 character no restrictions on race or class let me know if you want something homebrew, using standard array or pointbuy, and no evil alignment this is a heroic adventure and most of what you will be doing will be for the good of the people and the rest of you party members. Players can decide whether they want to use milestone or experience levelling. We will build characters in d&d beyond I will link a campaign.
The lost mines are a classic starter module for new or old ttrpg players, I run the module as a very player driven sandbox style game with lots of side quests linking into the main story. I like to run a more relaxed game with lots of joking and some awful puns for contrast. All players are welcome and backstory is encouraged but not 100% necessary, not everyone needs to be the chosen one ;) Shoot me a message on here or add me on discord for more information or enquires :D Discord: Disconisbet Insta: Yellowjake91
What to expect
Preparing for the session
A good microphone and a stable internet connection. A dnd beyond account, the beyond 20 extension and a roll20 account :) You can create characters ahead of time or build one in session 0 but I would request players with experience have at least a concept for a character. Add me on discord for a link to the discord channel and campaign where characters will be built.
What DiscoDM brings to the table
I would definitely describe myself as a rule of cool DM over RAW aiming for a light hearted adventurous atmosphere with strong character moments. Music is a must in dnd and Character voices bring the world to life though for players they are definitely not mandatory although encouraged ;) I will have a campaign open on D&D beyond for character creation so you'll gain access to all my D&D beyond content as well as a private campaign discord channel.

How DiscoDM creates a safe table
In session 0 we will set ground rules any homebrew rules and discuss any hard or soft limits players have; topics to avoid or not mention at all. Dnd is a game at it's core and if someone isn't having fun then it can mire the experience for everyone. :) This is a High combat and Roleplaying campaign with a bit of mystery and intrigue
