About Nana

Hello! I am Nana, I'm a chill gal in my 30's and I have been a DM for 5 years. I started with homebrew but for 3 years now I have been a base game dnd style DM and we can fully blame BG3 for that~ I like to run the games I would want to play myself, experiencing the land of Faerun in a real genuine game of DnD with the standard races and experiencing the years old play tested lore of this famously fleshed out fantasy. I also am very newbie friendly as I treat game settings and locations almost like a tour of things famously known to most players who play in these settings. Storytelling is my hobby and passion, so any game I run is going to be primarily about a lived in world and how you can achieve your main goal while also running into important characters who will be moving along in their own plans alongside you. Lastly I encourage positivity and health of the real life people over the make believe characters since I want any space im in charge of to be a place where anyone feels safe to talk, form friendships, and better themselves and each other through encouragement and kindness. I am confident on my skills navigating toxic behavior and I am not afraid to tell people to take that behavior elsewhere. I protect my players and I honestly just want the best for good people.

How Nana runs games

The games I like to run prioritize story and characters over other gameplay styles. I make very personalized worlds that are always affected by your characters and how they choose to navigate around. Characters and NPCs should feel real and even characters you haven't met yet are always moving in the background of your adventure using the world your in and making it lived in regardless of your actions. I like to fully cater these stories around you, and these tend to be campaigns that go on for a longer time due to the slow burn investment. Expect a lot of art! I draw my own art for this campaign and anything I can't provide will be using DnD official art that is legally acquired ONLY. I pride myself in leading by example against the onslaught of stolen artwork across the web. I scale difficultly directly around players playstyle/party dynamics/group moral. Most likely as the game goes on NPCs will be joining you in combat and I like to let the players control these NPCs fully in combat in order to mesh better with battle plans. I provide custom stat blocks for ALL officially recruited combat based NPCs so feel free to collect them like pokemon~ Last thing to keep in mind is I like to run a kind and understanding table. I reward positivity and empathy in my players as game day should be something positive to look forward to.
