About Monkicci
Howdy, I'm Monkicci! I've been GMing for a variety of TTRPGs (Cyberpunk Red, D&D 5e, Cyberpunk 2020, Daggerheart, Battletech) for a around 1 1/2 years now, and I love it so much. From juicy dramas of heroes and villains to intense battles between powerful forces, I thoroughly enjoy orchestrating all of it and working with each individual to make them feel important in both story and combat! I first got into TTRPGs after playing Cyberpunk 2077 and wanting more, leading me to Cyberpunk Red. I would run sessions all by my lonesome before eventually joining and running my own games online in 2023. With the video game to tabletop path routed in my brain, I decided to play Baldur's Gate 3 in 2024, and that sent me straight to D&D 5e, where it took me a few months to learn the rules as a player before starting to GM using this different system. Nowadays, I have just as much fun (if not more) running a game as I do playing in one.

I became a GM because
I learned how to be a GM while learning how to be a player character in Cyberpunk Red. It became synonymous with playing TTRPGs for me to know how to be a GM and a PC from then on, and I found it fun, too!
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
Quick-Witted, Thorough, and Funny.
When I'm not running games I'm...
listening to music! I have always loved music in all its parts, from the lyrics to the melody to the beat. My favorite artist right now is Daft Punk!
How Monkicci runs games
While ultimately my games will revolve around what the party wants from the campaign, I strive as a GM when my games contain fun roleplay and deep lore for you, as the player, to uncover throughout your journey. With unique NPCs and personal connections, my campaigns will not only draw your character into the story, but you as well! That doesn't mean I slack in the combat department! I work hard to make every combat encounter feel fair and fun, whether it be a bandit group trying to rob the party for some gold, or a devil who sees the party as the only defense between them and their desire. However, the most unique part of my games is my want to make your character feel special. I want to work with you to make your character appear in the campaign how they appear in your mind, including, perhaps, a unique homebrewed item that comes from their background.

I once ran a session...
where each player played a low-level goblin character and had to raid a wizard's secret lair. When a goblin died, they would bring in a new goblin character, and they had a limited number of backups before the raid on the wizard was considered a failure. Thankfully, they succeeded in their raid!
Rules are...
important for making the game feel grounded. However, there are many rules that can be viewed more as guidelines, especially when it rewards for clever thinking!
When it comes to voices
I will do whatever I can to make each NPC a player interacts with sound unique, no matter their importance.
Monkicci's ideal table
At my table, players can expect to be given an equal amount of spotlight as the other players in the party. Not only that, but I will ask questions to help you connect with your character such as what an ability your character used looks like or what your character's weapon looks like! If you like roleplaying as your character and chatting about the happenings of the campaign, you will find a welcome spot at my table! I try to keep a fine line between in-character and out-of-character so that the players are having a good time hanging out with each other as much as playing your characters.
