About Lia
I started playing tabletop games in 2005, met my husband through a tabletop game, and have helped raise our children in like tradition. I have played in a wide range of systems, including Pathfinder, Warhammer 40K, Legend of the Five Rings, My Little Pony Roleplaying Game, and Dungeons & Dragons 3.5-2025. I have also run a handful of homebrewed D&D one- and two-shots when our usual DM was indisposed, and my players' enthusiastic praise has encouraged me to give professional gamemastering a try. I am a queer, neurodivergent mother with 4 college degrees, over a decade of experience in customer service, and an unexpectedly halted tenure as a federal civilian employee. Each facet of my life has given me a new lens for understanding humanity and accepting people as they are. I am nurturing and kind, and I stand resolute against all forms of cruelty and injustice in our world. These are the strengths I bring to my table.

How Lia runs games
My style is RP-heavy and revolves around letting my players explore their characters' story in an open world setting. I do character voices and practice active listening, improvisation, and collaboration both one-on-one and as a table. My villains act on complex motivations, and even most creatures try not to go down fighting. I consider the game rules a tool to support our collective enjoyment, and I will happily adjust them in service of those ends.

My games focus on...
Looping in character motives and journeys.
Lia's ideal table
My games are environments for my players to engage in collaborative storytelling as part of a team. Roleplay is encouraged, and while inter-character conflicts can be a thrilling element of that, please take extra care to check in with the table and demonstrate respect towards your fellow gamers and their preferred gameplay experience.

I love it when a player
Forgoes a mechanical benefit to enhance their story, gives their character hopes, fears, and personal ties, and checks with other players before making a choice that could remove their characters’ agency.
