About Keeper GM Isaac
My name is Isaac and I have been playing Tabletop Role-Playing Games (TTRPGs) since 2016. I am a video game Narrative Designer and a freelance film reviewer. I am also a DMsGuild writer for three adventure modules. But my D&D 5e days are over, and I prefer to run other systems instead. I reside in Jakarta, Indonesia, but that does not stop me from running games for people around the world. Some of my longest-playing players are from Canada, Mexico, and India. Through TTRPGs, I have married the love of my life, forged long-lasting friendships, and share my love of the hobby. Due to my current financial situation, and with the encouragement of my friends & players, I have decided to become a GM for Hire. I am currently running two Pathfinder 2e paid campaigns, and have previously run a D&D 5e paid campaign and two Call of Cthulhu paid campaigns. I will say my experience with various TTRPG systems have made me use the things that I have learned from those games and apply it to all of my games. My focus on story, narrative, immersion, and well-paced timing & moments will be something that you can look forward to. Horror, Mystery, Thriller, and Sociopolitical stories are my expertise, but I am also willing to run games that are outside of that. You can find my players testimonies and reviews of my GMing in this link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1V9zbLrQyO6Pi1bf1gSa7zank-eYz23R4VLOQp80z7R4/edit?usp=sharing I will see you at my table!

I became a GM because
I want to tell stories that can evoke emotions and reactions out of the players, while making them satisfied in certain ways from what they experienced.
My 3 systems I'd bring to a desert island would be
Call of Cthulhu, Powered by the Apocalypse, OSR
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
Personalized, Dilemmas, Epic
How Keeper GM Isaac runs games
My players say I thrive on immersive storytelling, dynamic roleplay, and player-driven narratives. Whether you're delving into a cosmic horror mystery, navigating the intrigue of a political drama, or clashing swords in an epic fantasy duel, my goal is to make every session feel cinematic, engaging, and unforgettable. I specialize in deep character-driven experiences, where your choices truly matter. I love weaving personal arcs into the greater story, making sure every player has a stake in the world and its unfolding events. My GMing style blends atmosphere, creativity, and a strong sense of narrative momentum, with a focus on drama, tension, and immersive worldbuilding. What You Can Expect from My Games: 🎠Immersive Roleplay & Distinct NPCs – I bring NPCs to life with unique voices, personalities, and motives. Expect meaningful social encounters, engaging dialogue, and characters who feel like real people rather than quest dispensers. 🌎 Rich & Dynamic Worldbuilding – Whether it’s a Lovecraftian nightmare or a kingdom on the brink of war, I craft settings that feel alive, interconnected, and responsive to player actions. The world evolves as you play, and your choices have real consequences. 🎲 Flexible Storytelling & Rule of Cool – I know the rules, but I’m not bound by them when they get in the way of a great moment. If something makes sense narratively and enhances the game, I’ll find a way to make it work. Player creativity is encouraged! ⏳ Tension, Atmosphere & Cinematic Moments – I set the mood through descriptive storytelling, music, and pacing, making sure key moments land with impact. Expect nail-biting suspense, high-stakes decisions, and unforgettable set-piece encounters. 🤝 Collaborative & Player-Focused Gameplay – I love playing to my players’ strengths and preferences, ensuring that everyone gets moments to shine. Whether you love strategic combat, intricate puzzles, or deep character drama, I tailor my approach to fit the group’s playstyle. 👥 A Welcoming & Inclusive Space – No matter your experience level, background, or character concept, my table is a place where everyone’s story matters. I’m here to guide, not dictate—your creativity and agency drive the game forward.

I deal with rules issues by...
Acknowledging that there are issues and moving on by making up a ruling, and coming back to the issue when we have a break or after the session, in order for the session to not be interrupted.
If my games were Movies they'd be directed by...
Guillermo del Toro! At least that's what my wife said, my longtime player!
When it comes to voices
I will make sure to voice act to give authenticity and uniqueness to the NPCs!
Keeper GM Isaac's ideal table
I prefer when the players are active and interactive. Preferably the players should be comfortable to roleplay, or at the very least manage to describe their action and intention. Referring to Robin D. Laws' Player Types, I will rank it from the most fit and to the least fit: 1. The Storyteller 2. The Tactician 3. The Specialist 4. The Butt-Kicker 5. The Casual Gamer 6. The Method Actor 7. The Power Gamer

I think it's a red flag when players...
Try to game the system, or game the rules, to make sure that it goes their way instead of the party's fun (including me as a GM). I also think that it's a red flag when players are too focused on their own characters, their own stories, instead of engaging with the other PCs and the world.
I think metagaming...
is fine to a certain extent. I play lots of Story Games (i.e. Powered by the Apocalypse, Forged in the Dark) and these games have lots of metatalk to collaborate on the story and where it goes. If metagaming is a collaborative effort to find a great experience for the whole party, I'm fine.
My perfect party mix is
Filled with mostly Storytellers, with any combinations of Tactician, Specialist, Butt-Kicker.
