About Kaleb

Hello! My name is Kaleb and I've been a Dungeon Master for 10 years starting this March. I specialize in the storytelling element of DND, which includes character stories and overarching plot lines. Also, want to mention that my games are for everyone, I love having new players, so I tailor my games to allow new players to breathe and have fun. I don't tolerate disrespect to people who want to learn. If you can help respectfully that is different. LGBTQ friendly, anyone can join as I aspire to have a space where players feel safe. My main goal is for the players at my table to have fun while being able to tell an awesome story together. I have DM's for both Dungeons and Dragons and Fabula Ultima. I am also currently looking into a systems like VTM and Cyberpunk, so there are so many stories I would love to tell with ya'll! I am not the biggest fan of DND combat, but my games still have a healthy mix of it in there. I run all of my games in a shared universe I have with my home game, so there are plenty of prewritten adventures untouched and custom adventures that are just waiting to be explored. I'm also pretty ADHD (like most who play) so patience and respect are important.

When I'm not running games I'm...

Building worlds at 1 a.m., writing lore I might not use for months. Beyond that, I'm a geek so I love video games, specifically JRPGs. I'm also a content creator outside of this, so lending my Dungeon Master knowledge to newbies and sharing my ADHD experiences so that others know there not alone.

How Kaleb runs games

I would describe my style of GMing as a narrative experience that relies mostly on roleplay. I am new player friendly, so if a new player needs time, let them ask for help. I don't use combat a lot, but when it is introduced it is challenging. I believe combat is meant to matter, but the characters, players, and story drive everything. I don't railroad my players, but on the rare occasion I need to put the train back on the tracks I will. I love detailed backstories, so don't be afraid to include them. Don't be afraid to include flaws, the best characters are complicated. Otherwise, let the good times roll!

Kaleb's ideal table

My main objective is to bring new people to the game. To be a GM that focuses on being a safe space for anyone who wants to learn and have some fun rolling some dice and telling stories. So, I'm striving to be the go-to guy when you're scared of jumping into this new thing called DND. The only thing I tend to not focus on is combat, because I believe it should be used when it matters, not for the sake of being there. So, when it shows up its challenging. Players come first and the roleplay aspect of the game has become the bread and butter of my style.
