About JonJon
Hello! My friends call me Jonah! I love coming up with new stories and ideas and having fun seeing the creativity that flows from a group when playing a tabletop game. DnD is a passion of mine that I've had for several years and it has only increased with time. I started out playing 1e and 2e because that's all my brother-in-law knew at the time until we took the time to figure out 5e. Now 5e is all I play. As a GM, I like to believe I'm pretty loose with the rules, favoring fun and story over the letter of the law. Rules are just guidelines to help facilitate the story we weave together. Outside of Dnd, I work as a Cardiac Stress Technician all over central Florida, basically checking people's hearts to see if they have blockages, etc. etc. When I'm home, I hang out with my wife and 2 dogs. Playing with me at least guarantees seeing those two boogers. Also, I have a lot of hobbies! I have 100+ board games, I love to cook, and I play PS5. I still have so many ideas and stories I'd like to see fleshed out, both official and my own! My favorite thing to do is immerse players into the story, whether it be by weaving their backstory into the campaign, or coming up with plot twists to blow your mind! I'm eager to play and share new exciting experiences with others and I hope that I can bring that level of joy to those who play with me too.

How JonJon runs games
Each session is usually half story/ role-play and half combat. I want to make sure that everyone gets out of the story a good well-rounded session. I typically plan out my sessions weeks in advance, however, I feel confident in my improv skills to get us through the nitty gritty. I am LGBTQ+ friendly, and I approve of safety tools. I do not tolerate racist, sexist, homophobic, or antisemitic comments. I avoid topics of sex/child/animal abuse. There is already enough hate in the real world; I want my games to be a safe place for bashing the skulls of goblins and mind flayers. I like to do voices, and even dress up as random characters of the story. And I love to make people laugh, whether it be through cheesy puns and DnD stereotypes (Like walking into a bar and always seeing the bartender cleaning a glass) or through inside jokes we create together. As long as everyone is having fun, I'm happy!
