About JoeGee
I was born a nerd and will proudly die a nerd but until then I will be GM-ing at least one D&D campaign! Based out of the UK I have always flirted with TTRPGs only actually picking them up about 10 years ago and I have not looked back. I even created (and am current branch manager of) Northampton branch of a charity roll and raise TTRPG club called RPhaven. Outside of that I am a professional wedding & events photographer with two pugs who will likely be heard snoring in the background of our sessions!

My favorite books are
the Dungeon Crawler Carl series right now, so expect some Matt Dinniman influence in my games!
When I'm not running games I'm...
running a (mostly) successful wedding and event photography business OR looking after my two pugs who will likely be snoring away in the background of our sesssions!
How JoeGee runs games
Rule of cool is the most important rule at my table! Rules as written are important for sure, but I avoid letting them get in the way of a good story (or a good laugh!). I even do the unthinkable and blend 5e and 5.5 *dun dun duun* I run relaxed, beginner friendly and ultimately fun games with an emphasis on player agency and indulging power fantasies. Both combat and roleplay are equally important in my sessions so that means both the raging barbarian and the charming bard will have something to do. Over the years I have introduced many people to the D&D world and love teaching new players, this is a judgement free zone! We all didn't know all the rules once (in fact there are still some I mix up to this day!)

Rules are...
a great guideline but never get in the way of a good story or a cool moment. That being said without them we might as well be playing make believe on the playground!
JoeGee's ideal table
My tables are typically pretty light and fun, think Monty Python and the Holy Grail not Dark Souls! However there is still home for any kind of player in my games, I currently run a game with a min-maxed artificer next to 2ft tall axolotl barbarian...so it all works out! I also really love beginners or even brand new players, you bring a fresh set of eyes and ideas to a now 50+ year old game!
