About Honey Mocha
Good timezone ladies, gentlemen, and variations thereupon! I'm Mocha, known all over the interwebs as HoneyMocha. I hail from the Southern United States. I have been playing D&D for decades, DMing since 2020. I enjoy homebrew and world building, and can sometimes be called a Rule of Cool DM. I enjoy collaborative storytelling and do my best to include everyone at my table in building our worlds. **Do Not send a Discord friend request without a message first, it will be ignored, as stated in my Discord profile.**

My favorite shows/movies are
action movies and kdramas. Judge me, it won't change my tastes. :3
When I'm not running games I'm...
...playing World of Warcraft or other video games, coming up with character concepts, or working on digital images that only I will ever see.
How Honey Mocha runs games
I enjoy watching my players succeed and have fun. Homebrew is something I find to be a lot of fun. Even when my game isn't homebrewed, I work each player's backstory into the adventure. Everyone gets a time to shine. Session 0 is the most important session, and is a requirement. I enjoy creating a game my players will love playing. High combat, heavy roleplay, bit of both? I can adjust to whatever my players would like in their game.

My games focus on...
...fun. Everyone at the table, including the GM, should be having a good time. Whether that means the table prefers heavy roleplay, heavy combat, or a mix of both, fun is always the goal.
Rules are...
...mutable. I enjoy using house rules when RaW doesn't make sense for me or my table. This is not an invitation to test boundaries. My rulings are final.
When it comes to voices
...I'm not very good at accents, but I try to give my NPCs unique voices. I will always let players know if I'm speaking as DM or NPC, though, just in case.
Honey Mocha's ideal table
At my tables, we -yes, WE- are telling a story together. It isn't DM vs Players, even in combat. Yes, I play all the bad guys, I roll all their attacks. But, my #1 goal is to see my players succeed in their missions, short and long term. I like to see my groups work as cohesive units toward a common goal. I enjoy jokes and banter, but I also would like the vibe of the game to be preserved. Everyone, including me, should work together to make the story a memorable one.

I am for a vibe that's...
...cooperative and imaginative. Give me creativity. Want to try that awesome shot between the slats in a fence? Let's try to make it happen! You've learned quickly to play off each other's attacks? Wonderful! Let's do it!
I love it when a player
...thinks outside the box! I once had a player roll to catch the ranger's missed shot and attack the baddie with the arrow. I love creativity and truly enjoy rewarding that type of thinking.
My table is not the place for...
...metagaming, Main Character Syndrome, or working against the rest of the table.
