About Dani (GM Hofzinser)

I am embarking on this new journey and I hope you join me (and my dog 🐶)! As someone who has struggled with social anxiety, I know how intimidating it can be to have such an experience and it is in my best interest to make EVERYONE feel comfortable 💖. My priorities are to build a safe space for everyone and have a good time collectively! I excel at teaching 👨‍🏫 and adapting to my player's needs (And at Worldbuilding, I've been told). I am also very open to learning other systems 📚 if needed. I also have decades of performance experience, from cafés to theaters, from magic ♠️ to music. 🎸 PREFERENCES: - As you'll see, my "specialty" are rules-lite systems, so if you're looking for a complex tactical experience, there are probably better GMs for you 😅 - I prefer out-of-the-box fantasy (Like Mausritter 🐭) and realistic (Pulp, noir 🚬) scenarios.

How Dani (GM Hofzinser) runs games

Collective chemistry is king. 👑 Did we develop an emotional bond as a group that makes the game feel deep? Great! Are we all cracking jokes and feeling goofy together? Great too! Does someone need a bit of a slower game to learn the ins and outs? Great again! I love rolling dice 🎲, A LOT. That said, I run almost exclusively rules-lite games, because I feel like they set conditions flexible enough to balance the crunch according to the group's needs and wants. Some would say that means narrative-driven games, and I guess they would be right. I see TTRPGs as a storytelling artform, just like videogames 🎮, and I treat them as such. They can be as fun as a song, a movie or a videogame, but in the end, it is an experience we are looking for, and my goal is to build an unforgettable one together.
