About me

Hello heroes! My name is Tim and I want you to play more systems. There are so many cool and interesting systems out and you need to play them. Why you should learn more systems: 1. Find awesome mechanics to use in other systems! 2. Learn to play with a mindset that is not bound by one system! 3. Get improv buff! Why should you join my games? Because my players have just as much power as I do when it comes to the story being told. If this hobby is truly about collaborative storytelling, then EVERYONE at my table has a say.

GM Style

My players are the ideas people, I am just the person that brings them to life at the table. My main focuses are that everyone is having fun at that everyone feels embolden to contribute to the story being told. My table is a collaborative table in its totality. Worldbuilding starts at session zero and ends after the last, and my players have a hand in worldbuilding the whole way through. I want to be surprised by your ideas just as much as I want you to be by mine. When narrating a scene, I speak in cinematic terms, much in the way a camera guides your vision in a movie. Sometimes that movie is a drama, most of the time it's action. The GMs that inspire me are Gannon Reedy (Neo Scum), James D'Amato (Skyjacks), and Kat Kuhl (Campaign Star Wars), and Matt Colville (Dusk).

Tim was my first Game Master, and I was hooked after my first experience. He is a wonderful teacher who communicates what each player needs to know clearly and concisely. So if you want to try things out or are a seasoned veteran, I highly recommend Tim to you.

Carter is big on collaborative storytelling and gets excited by player ideas, which is really encouraging. He is great at setting scenes with description and as well as providing good music for ambiance. He is flexible with player approaches to the game. I had a great time!

I've been a player for Tim around 5-6 years over 2 different campaigns. He is an excellent story teller and puts a ton of effort in the planning and execution of the games he masters. One of my favorite moments was switching a character mid campaign to try something new and him including me in building a whole section of the world and tying it all into the campaign with that character (I eventually went back to playing that character again, which was awesome!). Tim takes feedback really well and always tries to make games fun for all players. Theatre of the mind legend here. Loved playing with this guy. Couldn't recommend him anymore than I already can. 11/10.

Tim is a fantastic GM. He ran a campaign had the pleasure of playing in for 3-4 years and every session was a blast. Creative encounters, deep and immersive world building, encouraging the party to build our role playing skills - Tim did it all. I highly recommend him!

Firstly, I wanted to see if this website would actually let me review myself. Next, I wanted to reiterate that I said in my profile. To me, my job is to offer a safe place for people to express their thoughts and feelings through their character and the story being told as a whole. Collaboration is VERY important to this hobby, so it is a very important thing to me.

Carter was one of my earliest DMs for when I first started playing 5e D&D through a now defunct vr app. This has thoroughly spoiled me, as he is a brilliant storyteller and roleplayer, that few others have lived up to. Since then he has branched off to numerous other systems, usually via Roll20 or Fantasy Grounds, ranging from Fate(bulldogs), Call of Cthulu, Lancer, and possibly a few others that I might not have been a player for. Even though I don't really care for any System outside of 5e, Carter is one of the few GMs I'll make an exception for, as I have yet to play a game with him in which I haven't been thoroughly immersed and invested in, regardless of system. He's one of the only gms that has been able to genuinely bamboozle me (at least twice) and his storylines are excellently woven together, incorporating player choices to a incredibly satisfying extent, while still somehow keeping the story from actively derailing.
