About Gus
Hi, I’m Gus! I’ve been running tabletop RPGs for several years and I’ve developed a real passion for creating immersive, story-driven sessions. While I’ve played and GMed a wide variety of systems, my favorite by far is Call of Cthulhu. I love its focus on atmosphere, mystery, and horror. It’s the perfect system for players who want to experience something different from the usual dungeon crawls. As a Keeper, I focus on making sure everyone feels engaged and part of the unfolding story. Whether you’re brand new to Call of Cthulhu or a veteran investigator, I’ll guide you through the rules, keep the pacing tight, and make sure the table feels safe while still being thrillingly eerie. I specialize in one-shot scenarios that capture the full CoC experience in a single session. This makes it easy for new players to jump in, and for experienced ones to enjoy a compact, suspenseful story without needing to commit to a long campaign. My goal is simple: deliver sessions that feel cinematic, tense, and memorable. If you’ve ever wanted to try Call of Cthulhu or just explore something beyond the usual fantasy fare, I’d love to have you at my table.

How Gus runs games
My games focus on atmosphere, mystery, and player immersion over crunch and combat. I use descriptive storytelling, pacing, and tension-building to create a cinematic experience where your choices matter. Roleplay and investigation take center stage, you’ll uncover secrets, follow clues, and confront the unknown as your characters slowly realize the horror of what they’re facing. Combat in my sessions is rare but impactful. When it happens, it’s high-stakes and dangerous. Violence is never the easy solution, and survival is never guaranteed. Instead, I encourage creative problem-solving, collaboration, and leaning into the personalities and flaws of your investigators. Expect eerie settings, compelling NPCs, and plenty of opportunities to roleplay both your character’s strengths and their human vulnerabilities. Above all, my goal is to make sure everyone feels involved, immersed, and walks away with a story they’ll remember long after the session ends.
