About me

I referee the very first published edition of D&D. Not Advanced D&D First Edition, mind you. Original D&D, also known as 0e ("zero edition"), was authored by Dave Arneson and Gary Gygax. This version, consisting of three little brown booklets, was first published in 1974. It's known as the "game that started it all". I've been running Original D&D for many years. It never gets boring, trust me. Character generation is easy. Gameplay is relatively fast paced. My Personal Background: I'm married to a wonderful woman who encourages me to game. I'm a father. We have a dog. I'm also a retired public defender and former part-time college instructor. So I generally like to hang out with people. My favorite book subjects are fantasy, science fiction, swords & sorcery, folktales, mythology and history. I'm currently reading Njal's Saga (Penguin Classic), Flashing Swords #2 (edited by Lin Carter) and Fantasy Wargaming by Martin Hackett. I'm also a semi-professional illustrator & art student. I'm inspired by great fantasy artists like Frank Frazetta, Richard Corben, Darrell Sweet and Roy Krenkel. Last, but not least, I enjoy collecting and playing wargames, board games and rpgs. Basically I'm just a fantasy freak and a gamer geek. I hope we can become friends and play some Original D&D.
