Proficiencies
Players say this GM is great at:
Inclusive
Creativity
World Builder
I've played both Dungeons & Dragons 5e and Mage the Ascension with Pedro, he is a creative and dedicated DM, always looking for ways to deepen the narratives that he presents to the players and develope creative and interesting plotpoints and plot twists to surprise the table. His narratives are always an immersive experience to the players, always introducing sound queues, music and environmental narratives to put yourself in the scene and in the moment. A great DM to chat about your ideas for character development and enjoy the story that you'll write together, he is inclusive and always takes into consideration the trigger warnings and each player characteristics to ensure that the table is a safe space.
His sessions are awesome. He has a lot of ideas and creativity and knows how to involve the plot of the characters and the player’s way of play into the game. Everything combine with a necessary inclusive and non-discriminatory environment on the table, without losing the fun, of course. I recommend to play with him.
I’ve been playing TTRPGs since I was very young, and over the years I’ve had the chance to sit at many different tables, guided by all kinds of game masters. But Pedro is truly one of a kind. His mastery of worldbuilding and storytelling transformed every session into something unforgettable. He created a universe alive with distinctive voices, emotional depth, and moral dilemmas that not only drew us into thrilling adventures, but also invited us to reflect on our own inner journeys. In his games, every choice mattered. He’s a dedicated, professional GM who reads the room beautifully and adapts masterfully to his players. Thank you, Pedro, for every laugh, every moment of chaos, every tense decision, and every unexpected twist that brought us closer as a party. These memories are ones I carry close to my heart. I’ll always be glad to sit at his table, dice in hand and wonder wide open.
Character creation
Creating your character
During the first session players will create their first draft of their character, as they share their thoughts and ideas with the party and we will try them out. After the session they can take their time to create a more in depth background (which they must share with me via email for feedback). Not everything need be set in stone, but deciding on some key features will facilitate gameplay and fun
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I have set up a discord server for us to use. There we can host the sessions (voice chat), share images and links of characters and places, and I can keep everyone up to date for any public announcements, etc.
What Pedro brings to the table
I place the player's comfort and enjoyment above all else, then the story, then the mechanics I am flexible with rules but make sure they remain coherent and practical I like theater of the mind as well as grid combat, and will adapt to the table's preference I am willing to design for special cases or interactions, both on the fly and between sessions I do some character voices when the mood strikes me
Homebrew rules
There are many, as I have been runing 5e for many years and enjoy tweaking. Some examples include: - True Name: The name you were born with to the weave. If you are an arcane formula caster (a wizard, warlock, bard, etc) and an enemy knows your true name, you have disadvantage against their spells, and they have advantage against yours - Stealth casting: Casting a spell can be attempted with a Spellcasting Ability (Stealth) check. The DC is 10 + spell level. On a failed check the slot is lost and an insight check can be made to detect the casting attempt (all creatures with a Passive Perception equal to the DC become aware something has happened). On a success, the casting of the spell is stealthy - this does not account for the spell's effect. Any spell effect that causes damage (eg: eldritch blast) is at least normal noise level by default, and any spell effect that is an AOE damage (eg: fireball) is usually automatically very loud - Goblin ancestry: Ancient heresy You can smell evil aligned creatures and outsiders. You have advantage on Arcana checks that rely on smell I keep tally in a spiffy doc of all these and more, which I will share with you when you join the discord server

How Pedro creates a safe table
We will be using Lines and Veils. Players will message me a list of their lines and veils, then I will share a live document with the whole party and have a brief discussion on sesion 0 to confirm everyone is aware of what the boundaries are going to be. If any player who submited their lines and veils wishes to change them going forward, they can do so in the document or directly message me to do so
