About the adventure
This is a Play By Post Game via a Discord Server, meaning you do not have to sit and commit 4 hours of your time a week to enjoy. I will make a point to post at least twice per day, and I ask that you at least try to post once every 2 days at a minimum. Hello! This is a High fantasy Adventure where players take on the roles of a group of resistance fighters fighting a desparate struggle against a tyrannical empress and her armies. If you have played video games such as Fire Emblem, Suikoden, Shining Force, or more recent titles such as Dark Deity, this might be the adventure for you. Expect a desperate world with people looking to you all as their last hope, and others see you as their meal ticket to power and influence. All the while, the looming threat of the Mad Empress casts a shadow across the world, swallowing the light.

Hello everyone! I'm Jonathan and I bring almost 15 years of TTRPG experience to the table. I will mainly be running PlayByPost games using a combination of Discord, Owlbear, DND Beyond and other platforms as needed. I hope we can get along well!

Creating your character
You will be starting at Level 5, and you can use the Core RuleBook, High Fantasy Atlas, or Techno Fantasy Atlas to create your characters. I will share them via Discord. The first three sessions will be free to allow for you guys to get comfortable and set the pace at how quickly the story will move.
The world is mostly finished, will gladly take player input on it's finer details during sessions 0 and 1.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need to make a Discord account and join the server. All other materials will be provided there.
What Jonathan brings to the table
This is a Play by Post Game via a Discord server, which means players will be taking roleplay actions somewhat out of sequence. That said, Avare will be used during combat encounters to track initiative. I will let you know when we are getting close to an unavoidable fight so you can be present for important combat encounters. Combat will be impactful, most grunts your characters will mow through, but elite and champion enemies will pack quite the punch. I will mainly play Rules as Written, with some Cool used as appropriate. I will provide art for all significant NPC's, and additional materials as needed.
Homebrew rules
Characters start with a boon, may choose one from these three for free. Each boon after the first gives me an extra +2 VP. 1. A 1000z weapon or armor, can place qualities on it per the Tinker's Upgrade heroic skill. This does not count against your 500z starting equipment loadout. 2. A free spell from the Entropist, Elementalist, Spiritism, or a free verse from Magichant. 3. Extra training, gain +10 HP and MP at the start of the game.
