About me
When I was around 10 years of age I was handed a copy of the 1983 Dungeons and Dragons basic rules (a copy that I still have to this day). Since then I have been captured by the fun of running all kinds of pen and paper games, consistently improving and trying to create the most fulfilling gaming experience I can. Since starting here on Startplaying, I have learned so much and improved my games tenfold in a bid to create something truly memorable for everyone who joins my table. I work hard at detailing every aspect of my games and ensure that they are to a standard that is above and beyond what you find at most tables. This is a process that has no true end and to that degree I am always looking for feedback and ways to improve the experience wherever I can. I am flexible as a DM and can and have run narrative heavy and crunchier games. For me the enjoyment of my players takes priority and I will tailor games suited to their wants

I finished my campaign with JJ. My full experience can be summed up in this way. JJ walked me through the learning process smoothly and was always open to my questions when I had them. I was given a lot of creative freedom with my character and was given chances to shine and be the best I could be. If you're thinking of someone to have a first go at this with, I recommend JJ wholeheartedly. Not only a great teacher but a fantastic, inclusive DM who will help you stand out and have those moments where you're the main character.

JJ runs a vibrant, atmospheric, and engaging PBP cyberpunk game — he took my character concept and spun up a world and cast of characters around it that had me genuinely invested. Life events got in the way of my continuing, but I’ll be back as soon as I can!

JJ is such a fantastic GM! He is communicative, kind, and runs a very immersive and smooth game. I think more happened in a single session with JJ GMing than in any other game I've ever played simply because he keeps players really engaged and moving along. I don't know what else you could possibly ask for in a GM. If you're thinking about joining one of his games, just do. JJ's energy also fosters a great community around him, so not only is he great as a GM, but the players he draws to his tables are lovely as well. Really love that I stumbled into LANCER and had JJ as a GM to introduce me to the game.

I was curious about Lancer RPG and JJ made jumping into an ongoing campaign with veteran players super easy. He puts some serious effort into his game preparations. That clearly shows in his amazing visual aids, both for combat and during roleplay scenes. Combat in Lancer is a key element and JJ makes sure to hit all the good notes. Enemy variety, goals that go beyond killing enemies, battle maps that feel like a playground for fun and the level of challenge that makes you think you will die at any moment while still being winnable.
