About Firestar
I'm a mother and a gamer. I've been a GM consistently for the past year, and have been playing various TTRPG's on and off for the past decade. My experience is primarily D&D5e, but I'm looking to branch out into other systems. Willing to run live sessions and play-by-post on Discord. I am very beginner friendly, open to advice, and always looking to improve.

I got started GMing...
because I wanted to play with my family as a way to connect during the pandemic.
When I'm not running games I'm...
reading, writing, playing video games, raising my 3 chaos gremlins, playing games run by other GMs
How Firestar runs games
I love to let players have some agency in their games and live for good RP. I am very beginner friendly. Sometimes events from other parties and RP sessions play a part in the events players encounter. (I will always let players know before hand if that is a factor.) Sometimes that BBEG cuts off supply lines and characters have to source food from their environment (ala Dungeon Food). The dice and the players really tell the story, I'm just here to make it entertaining. Every session ends with a "play of the game" where players get to vote on which member of their party had the most epic moment, which usually results in some in-game benefit.

I once ran a session...
where a player rolled 3 nat20's in a row, resulting in pocket-sized manticores that she could summon to aid her in battle. Only one could be summoned at a time, and since they were a mated pair, their names were "Gomez" and "Morticia".
Firestar's ideal table
My table is very beginner friendly. We all have to start somewhere. the general vibe is usually lighthearted and fun. After all, that's why we're here: to have fun telling a story with other people. I love to see my players embrace their character, and I live for interesting roleplay just as much as for combat.

I love it when a player
come up with a creative solution to a problem the party is facing. there is not a universe where I won't reward a creative solution in some way.
