About Taylor
A little about me: To start, my name is Taylor, and mine is a common enough story these days. I am of the covid generation of Dungeon Masters; by which I mean that between being blessed and/or cursed with an overly active imagination and no social life to speak of, I quickly discovered that isolation (even the government mandated kind) ill-suited me, and after several admirable but ultimately doomed attempts to trick my friends into DMing I decided to turn in my character sheets for monster stat blocks and have a go at pretending that I wasn't going to actively try to kill all of my friend's, pain-stakingly min/maxed characters off each week in new, creative, and increasingly diabolical ways. Of course, I'm only joking about that last bit. Well... mostly joking. Anywho, almost despite myself, I ended up loving it, so much so that here I am, years later, trying to convince you wonderful strangers to let me share my passion with you. As for the specifics of my credentials, I was introduced to DnD in the military, of all places, over 10 years ago, and have been DMing since 2020. I have run several pre-written modules of varying lengths, some going for a year +, and one even going for 2 years and some change. I've run short-forms from One-Shot Wonders, as well as a few of my own creation. If you're looking for immersion, entertainment, challenge, and the space to play creatively, at a table that's both tolerant and inclusive, then I'm your DM.

My favorite books are
I hate this question more than the one about movies, so here is my solution. My favorite AUTHORS are: Brandon Sanderson, Jim Butcher, and John Scalzi. With honorable mentions going to Patrick Rothfuss, Anne McCaffrey, William Gibson, and Robert Jordan.
My favorite shows/movies are
As a movie buff, reducing this list to only 3 feels criminal. That said, if I had to narrow it down to just that, then I suppose it would have to be The Matrix, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, and Terminator 2: Judgement Day. Not necessarily in that order.
My favorite system of all Time is
DnD 5e is definitely my favorite, although it is also the system that I am most familiar with. Recently, I have also been very much enjoying Critical Role's new Daggerheart system, as well as Starfinder 2e, so ask me again in a year or so and we'll see if my answer changes.
How Taylor runs games
Collaborative Story-telling As a long-time fan of games like KOTOR and Mass Effect, I want you to feel like your choices matter. My games are player-driven narratives, where your character’s choices shape the world around them. Roleplay No story was ever improved by flat monotone narration. I enjoy bringing the world to life through character voices and performances, both of the subtle and bombastic variety, so expect lots of interactive moments and meaningful dialogue, with a fully fleshed-out cast of characters. Adaptable Combat I enjoy merging cinematic story-telling with dynamic combat encounters that reward smart positioning, teamwork, and creative thinking. That being said, I'm not above the Rule of Cool for those out-of-the-box moments. Last but not at all least, Safety in Inclusivity You can be anyone you like here, elf ranger, goblin sorcerer, gnome barbarian, that is what DnD is all about, but you should never feel afraid or ashamed to just be yourself. My first priority is to create a space where everyone feels safe and included.

When it comes to voices
Voices are one of my favorite ways to bring characters to life! I am, at the moment, only a hobbyist, but I am actively trying to break into voice acting as a career path.
Taylor's ideal table
What is your table like? The Lord of the Rings. Not the story necessarily, but the structure. No matter the setting or tone, it’s an ensemble journey where no single character carries the whole thing. Everyone gets moments of doubt, courage, humor, and growth. If you sit at my table, you’re part of the Fellowship. What types of players will fit well at your table? In particular, players who: feel invested in their character's story arc, respect the spotlight moments and their fellow players, and subscribe to the idea that, in a good story, your choices should matter, will find themselves right at home. Most importantly, no matter your play style or experience level, if you have respect for your fellow players and their characters, you are welcome at my table.

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table
A world that feels alive. Where the NPCs have their own goals and agendas that continue to playout whether the players engage with them or not. Where actions have consequences and character backstories are woven into the campaign to be revealed gradually and organically as the story progresses.
I love it when a player
Thinks outside the box to come up with a creative solution to a problem, in or outside of combat. I particularly enjoy it when players work together to achieve this.
