My favorite books are

I love Raymond E. Feist’s Magician for its worldbuilding, Janny Wurts’ intrigue in the Empire series (e.g., Daughter of the Empire), and Dan Abnett’s dark, action-driven Von Carstein and Malus Darkblade sagas. They blend epic scope, political machinations, and gothic horror.

People are always surprised when I tell them

I use Magic: The Gathering, and one time pokemon cards to randomly generate entire campaign arcs.

When I’m not running games I’m diving into fantasy novels, sketching creature designs, fine-tuning homebrew rules, painting miniatures, and scouring obscure lore to enrich future sessions.

How Pacts & Polyhedrals - Asmo runs games

I specialize in crafting immersive, custom campaigns that are tailored to your group's unique style and energy. As the creative mind behind Mitos Eternos, my passion lies in storytelling that feels alive—rich with vivid descriptions, dynamic NPCs, and emotionally resonant roleplay. My DM style focuses heavily on setting the scene: from crumbling ruins swallowed by mist to bustling cities lit by glowing arcane lanterns, I aim to transport players into the heart of the world. I bring NPCs to life with distinct personalities and voices, offering players the chance to build real relationships, rivalries, and meaningful story arcs. Every game is a balance of the core pillars—roleplay, exploration, and combat—woven together in a way that best suits your group. Whether you're in it for the drama, the dungeon delving, or the strategy, I’ll adapt the experience to match your preferences while ensuring every player gets a chance to shine. I’m here to tell great stories with you—whether you want a lighthearted romp, a political intrigue, or a mythic saga that spans realms.

My favorite trope is...

My favorite trope is the Accidental Hero—when a chaotic mess of a character stumbles into greatness, and the world crowns them a legend (usually to their surprise).

Rules are...

made to be broken. Not because chaos is the goal, but because storytelling, drama, and player agency matter more than rigid mechanics. If bending a rule makes a moment unforgettable, I'll do it. If breaking one makes something feel real, I’ll let it break.

When it comes to voices

I always give my NPCs a voice that isn’t my own—but don’t be surprised if that voice completely changes halfway through the conversation. Is it intentional? Is it a mimic? Is the NPC under a curse? Or did I just forget which accent I was doing? You'll never know.

Pacts & Polyhedrals - Asmo's ideal table

My table is story-driven, inclusive, and just the right amount of chaotic. I balance meaningful roleplay with cinematic combat and always make space for character growth, clever ideas, and unexpected choices. Whether you’re here for the lore, the laughs, or the legendary loot, you’ll find your spotlight. The vibe? Think “dark fairy tale meets improv comedy.” I love running games that explore deep themes—identity, power, sacrifice—but never at the expense of fun. There will be drama, there will be plot twists, and there will definitely be at least one weird NPC you’ll get too attached to. Who fits well at my table? Roleplayers who enjoy consequences and character arcs. Tacticians who love clever solutions over brute force. Newbies who want a supportive, welcoming experience. Veterans who enjoy rich lore and homebrew surprises. Anyone who loves the moment when the bard accidentally founds a cult. My table runs on collaboration and respect. You don’t need to be a rules expert—just come ready to explore, improvise, and help co-create a world where your choices truly matter. If you enjoy a balance of heartfelt moments, horror-tinged twists, and a few belly laughs along the way, you’ll feel right at home.

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table

If you're into storytelling with consequences, cursed magic items, tragic backstories, laughing through the apocalypse, gothic horror, fairytale weirdness, clever builds, and finding emotional depth in absurd places, come grab a seat.

I think it's a red flag when players...

Try to control the story instead of collaborating in it. If you’re metagaming, spotlight-stealing, or treating other characters like NPCs in your personal cutscene—you’re missing the point. This is a shared story, not a solo campaign. so listen, lift each other up, and let the world surprise you.

I think metagaming...

should be punished. At my table, if your character isn't in the room and you answer a question or try to guide another player with out-of-character info… you’re taking psychic damage. And yes, the die gets bigger each time. d4, d6, d8—you’ll learn eventually.
