About DM Bright
Among the multiverse is an endless tapestry of stories. An ancient cabal of forgotten gods celebrates their prophesied return to the material plane, reveling in the fallibility of mortal-kind; a world of scattered lands, all but claimed by the hungry seas, is threatened by a darkness born deep below the unfathomable depths; and a crumbling realm steeped in a web of secrets, powerful magics, and intense political turmoil stands at the brink of complete self annihilation. These are but glimpses into the endless tapestry of epic struggles and unforgettable adventures that I seek to weave alongside my players. Hello, Adventurers, my name is DM Bright, and it's my personal quest to ensure that all my players have enjoyable sessions which will be remembered long after the dice have fallen. With over a decade of TTRPG experience, and nearly eight years behind the DM's curtain, it's suffice to say that I have a passion for RPG games. Games series like KOTOR, TES, Fallout, Mass Effect and The Witcher have helped to stoke my obsession with fantasy and sci-fi universes and the seemingly endless amount of lore within them. I'm also a creative writer, avid worldbuilder, and a former theater scholarship student with a love of character acting. Personally, collaborative storytelling takes center stage in any session. I believe that sharing stories with one another is one of the most natural, basic instincts that we can tap into. As human beings, we all have stories within us just waiting to be told. So, if you're a novice D&D player, creative storytelling enthusiast, or just someone who wants to lose themselves in worlds of mysteries and magics, I humbly invite you to take a seat at my table.

How DM Bright runs games
Living Worlds - Players can expect to interact and explore living realms where the choices you make matter more than one might initially believe. It is my hope that the people you encounter, the factions you choose to delve into, and the forgotten histories you learn of are portrayed in such a way that you can feel consistently grounded in your character's unique perception of the strange world they inhabit. I use a variety of voices, immersive descriptions, and threads of realism to help you lose yourself on the paths you forge. Story Driven - Each interaction, every combat encounter, and all the shenanigans in between serves a purpose in expanding your character or pushing the narrative forward. Combat is another avenue for roleplay and intrigue, and I believe that the official rules should be in place to facilitate those memorable moments. Expect combat to be run at a rules-medium pace and to serve a purpose beyond the rolling of dice. Player Focused - At the table, the players enjoyment and engagement are paramount. You and your fellow players are the main characters of these stories, and I will strive to incorporate personal elements into the narrative any chance I get. I'll strive to facilitate the players' intent as best as I can at the table, even if it means bending the rules to achieve an imaginative action in the game. However, not only should players be weaving stories between themselves and the DM, but also with their fellow players. New Player Friendly - Whether you're a brand new player looking to play D&D for the first time, a Baldur's Gate enjoyer tempted by the game's roots, or a veteran RPG player new to online TTRPGs I have seats available at tables which focus on learning the basics in fun, memorable one-shot sessions. I strive to foster a judgement free, laid back learning environment at all levels of play. Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have before or after booking your seat.
