About Tony

I swear these don’t do people justice, but here we go. My name is Tony. I got into TTRPGs about 2-3 years ago and got brought on to start in a campaign. Unfortunately for me, I was unable to finish that campaign, but I dove HEAVILY into listening to Critical Role to understand the mechanics behind being a GM. I absolutely fell in love with the idea of stories being told by multiple people and I have wanted to dive in and fully commit. Since then, I have been a GM for multiple one shots, and have semi-recently started GM’ing a campaign for a “Forever GM” and a small group of friends. I typically utilize “Stars and Wishes” along side having a break in the middle of a session and I ensure to ask about hard and soft limits PRIOR to playing. The whole point of this is to have fun, right? So, let’s have some fun and tell some stories!

I got started GMing...

because my desire to play was so high that I figured I could do it after being introduced to this whole world of high "fantasy". I also decided to give back to the Forever DM that got me into DND and have him currently on my in-person campaign.

My favorite books are

most definitely the Dungeon Crawler Carl books. That is A tier to me at this point. Some of my other favorites have been the Percy Jackson series and the Artemis Fowl series as well. I dove so heavily into the AF series that I decoded the language without realizing that there was a page with it done

When I'm not running games I'm...

either being a snack minion to the 6 crotch goblins that I have or letting my soul get sucked out of me from the daily grind at the "9-5". Ideally, I would love to run games full time, but that is in the distant future.

How Tony runs games

I love to allow full on deep-immersion role play! I try to allow my players to develope and interact with a broad story concept, and allow them to contribute to the story as much as possible while also bringing up conflicts and encounters meant to bring complexity to a story. Being a newer GM, there are still aspects that I am working on improving, such as environmental additions and other aspects to enhance combat.

My games focus on...

telling a story together as a group. You, as a player, have just as much of a hand in building the world as I do. My job, as your DM, is to set up some interesting, thought provoking, and entertaining scenarios for you to step up to and overcome. Let's tell a story together.

Rules are...

Rules are simply guidelines to help move a story along. There are some that are adamant about following Rules as Written, and there is definitely space for that in certain situations. Most of the rules are so most players have a generalize idea going into any game hosted by any GM.

When it comes to voices

I know that doing voices isn't for everyone and that's OK! I love trying to give each of my NPC's unique voices to make them easier to tell apart from simple narration. I am extremely supportive if you want to give you character a funny or intriguing voice. The goal is to just have fun!

Tony's ideal table

My table ultimately depends upon my players. Some tables are funny and down to earth and just "chill", others are high role-play focused, and there are some that are encounter heavy. My goal is to give you a place to have fun and get out of the gritty realism of everyday life. If that means chopping the head off of a beloved NPC mid-combat, then have at it.

I love it when a player

Gets truly vested in the character that they have brought to the table. Nothing makes me happier than seeing someone living a parallel/alternate personality and seeing it come to fruition by giving them space to be fully that character.

is what the game is all about! Bring me your most "broken" build! I want to challenge you! I want to see you utilizing your abilities! The more broken build you bring me, the more I can get you to think outside the box to take care of the challenges brought upon you.
