👋 Hello fellow humans! I’m Matthew—I run Dice Told Tales, a DM-for-hire service in New York City. I’ve run campaigns at Marvel and Disney Streaming and I want to run your next game—whether with your team, your friends, or your family. If you’re a seasoned adventurer with the bugbear hides to show for it or a total beginner ready to start their first adventure—I’m the DM for you.

GM style

Dungeons & Dragons is best described as “communal storytelling”. While games are bound by rules, D&D is more a sandbox where rules—as the great Captain Barbossa says—are more like guidelines. My play style reflects this sandbox. I run fun, easygoing sessions littered with plot hooks and characters. Follow my threads or make up your own as we tell stories together for a few hours. I make sure everyone gets a voice and everyone has a chance to shine. I run a safe and inclusive table where everyone’s welcome regardless of skill level or identity.
