About the adventure
In this mini campaign we'll be going on our own adventure as we dive into the sands of Sorcerer Kings, Magic Defilers, & Psionics. Dark Sun has some notoriously dark themes & all of them will be discussed in depth in our Session 0 to make sure everyone is comfortable & aware of what kind of brutal world we're jumping into. I have a feeling that the world of Athas will never be the same after it's run in with you all... Death is very real, but the rewards are unforgettable.

About me
Greetings, I'm Cake! I'm your easy going facilitator of both in-person and online quests in Dungeons and Dragons 5e, Daggerheart, & Call of Cthulhu. I've been a storyteller my whole life, but about six years ago I fell in love with the TTRPG medium & I haven't looked back! The art of creating adventures and crafting tales has captivated me since my childhood & now that I've found TTRPGS, these wild ideas have been evolving into handcrafted memorable campaigns. I like to blend fantasy, horror, & humor into a a few hours of gaming where we can just sink into our characters & the scenes. Shared storytelling is one of my favorite things about TTRPGs, as a DM, I set up the world & you knock it down, sometimes literally... Creating your character
All characters will be from the world of ATLAS. Open to all Subclasses, but some Species do not exist. The world is made up of: HUMANS, ELVES, HALF-ELVES, DWARVES, MULS, HALF-GIANTS, THRI-KREEN, & HALFLINGS. Other species will need to be discussed. 2024 rules will also be used. Stats will be rolled together, 4d6 drop the lowest. In Session 0 we'll partially create your characters together, but then we'll have one of ones for any character specifics or secrets your character would have. Characters will begin at Level 6 & get to Level 9. This setting has some specific things involving magic & psionics that we'll go over in our Session 0.

What to expect
Preparing for the session
A webcam is optional, but a mic, & a free Roll20 account & Discord will be needed. Your imagination will be the biggest asset you can have in this game.
What Cake brings to the table
I'll bring the music, the maps, custom art, custom player art if needed, an integrated story with your backstories, and the setting adapted to 5e.
Homebrew rules
Flanking - Flanking will be discussed in Session 0 ---- Death Saving Throws - If you go down in battle & have to roll a Death Saving Throw, that will be whispered to me. I've always felt that it helps keep the drama high & everyone on their toes. ---- Healing Potions - Healing Potions will be VERY RARE. But to drink potion is a bonus actions. If you use your ACTION to drink the potion, you'll get the full HP from the drink. ---- Secondary Characters - Be sure to have a second character ready just in case. This world is tough. ---- Alignment - All alignments except Chaotic Evil are on the table. Just be sure to respect your fellow player

How Cake creates a safe table
This will be a hard hitting game where your choices will effect your surroundings. This is a game where we will 100% have a deep dive for our Session 0. Dark Sun has some horrible themes in it's world, but we'll discuss what we're all comfortable with & move forward. My ears are always here for you to discuss things even after the Session 0. Just because you think you might be ok with something, that doesn't mean you have to stick with that decision throughout the campaign.
