About the adventure

The city-states of Iblydos rule an archipelago steeped in mythic power, legendary beasts, and ancient history. Yet the region suffers; the myth-speaking rites that elevate great heroes into mortal demigods are failing, with few of the hero-gods surviving to guide their people and grant magic. All of this changes when a god's death awakens a forgotten source of mythic potential, transforming the player characters into the first new hero-gods in recent memory. But what is this mythic power, and will it revitalize Iblydos or doom it entirely? The port of Bailax hosts lavish funeral games for a recently deceased hero, inviting visitors and locals alike to compete for prizes and glory. However, an ominous meteor crashes nearby and interrupts the festivities. What the adventurers find there won't just transform them into mythic hero-gods, but also will incite Bailax to violent revelry and arson. Can the new hero-gods stop the city from self-destruction? Myth-Speaker is the first Mythic Adventure Path for 2nd Edition. This will be my first time running Myth-Speaker. --- Campaign Duration I'm predicting that this Campaign in its entirety will take between 35-45 sessions to complete (Including post-Myth-Speakers content). Players must be able to commit to the game on a weekly basis for the duration of the campaign. Where on Golarion? Myth-Speaker takes place on the Isle of Ibyldos, Golarion's analogue to ancient Greece. Character Creation *Players will begin the adventure at level 1. *Players will have the standard starting wealth for level 1: https://2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=2662&Redirected=1 *All official Common & Uncommon rulebook material (unless specified otherwise) is allowed. *Rare Ancestries, Feats, etc. must be ran by me first. Subsystems & Variant Rules *Ancestry Paragon: We will be using the Ancestry Paragon Rule *Free Archetype: We will be using the Free Archetype Variant Rule. *Mythic Rules: We will be using the Mythic rules found in War of Immortals. Experience Required Players must be able to build a level 1 character and have a basic understanding of the PF2E ruleset. After the Adventure Upon the completion of the Adventure Path, I'll take a census from the party on whether they would like to continue the campaign. The party can choose one of the Level 11-20 Adventure Paths for PF2E, or a homebrew adventure of my own design. (The price per-session will remain the same regardless of the outcome).

About me

Just an enjoyer of pretty much anything fantasy related. Avid fan of anime, survival horror games and TTRPGs of all flavors. Like many folks, I got my start with TTRPGs back in high school and have been hooked ever since. Over the past decade my GMing style has developed to put equal focus on fast-paced, tactical combat and in-depth character roleplay. I put a strong emphasis on making my games a safe space where folks of all backgrounds can roleplay and enjoy themselves. (Banner done by sarahwidiart: https://vgen.co/sarahwidiart)
