I'm Andrew also known as DarklyTheBear. I've been a player/dm for the past 5 years and recently wanted to bring my talents to the good people of startplaying, that's you! As a dm I emphasize rule of cool and deep involvement with player creation and background, involving each player deeply in whichever world they currently inhabit. I strive to make every world feel lived in by creating detailed logs and backgrounds for practically everything in the game, personalized for each groups needs. How DarklyTheBear runs games
As a dm I like to work alongside my players to make a character that feels ingrained I to the world that they find themselves in and have worked with both veterans of the game as well as new players. I run games with a perfect mix of combat and role play, combining that with interesting maps and even more interesting npcs making a perfect TTRPG smoothie. Rule of cool Is encouraged and my favorite sentence is "roll because it'd be cool"

I Strive for a table that feels like a group of friends gathering around a table and having an experience. I involve myself in everything in the character making process to ensure the players come first. Every character gets some kind of arc. I also like collaboration amongst the players and even give them separate spaces in the Discord to do so (Eg. Downtime Roleplay Channel) Finally I like learning from people as much as I like DMing. My perfect table has trials for every part of the DM experience and friendly players all around
