About Trey Silver

I have been running a homebrew set of DND campaigns for approximately 5 or so years. I have a lot of experience in vocal roleplay and storytelling and wish to expand to more players to introduce this homebrew world i've worked hard on. I use a blend of 5E and 5.5E alongside a set of house rules and homebrewed elements. I focus deeply on character stories for my players and helping everyone have the spotlight at various instances. I enjoy a mixture of combat and roleplay, but if I had a choice I do prefer roleplay heavy sessions over combat heavy ones. But I still enjoy running both regardless. I'm decently adaptable and willing to work with my players to make the best experience for all of us. I'm also very new player friendly. I am patient and happy to help people learn the rules and ways of DnD

How Trey Silver runs games

A collaborative effort to make a story the players can enjoy with their characters. I work mostly in homebrew worlds I've devised. Im willing to work with a good bit of freedom for peoples stories. I enjoy running combat and puzzle filled dungeons. I love old school SNES and PS1 RPGs, so a lot of my style is derived from games from that era. I am not above punishing or killing players, but I do not seek to punish and kill. I want everyone to feel equal and have their time to shine. I am also fine having a large player cast, as one campaign I run has about 8 players or so in it. I am fine with derailing the campaign for fun roleplay, and I actively reward good roleplay as well. Combat is fun for me as well and I also reward creative or just fun solutions. I have a few homebrew elements I implement. I also do not believe in breaking people's personal boundaries and triggers. I want my players to have fun above all else.

Trey Silver's ideal table

People who like a healthy mix of roleplay and combat rather then a heavy lean of one or the other. People who want to tell interesting stories and are collaborative.

I think metagaming...

Is one of the worst things you can do. Play your character only with the information they have available. For this reason i tend to be stingy what info i let certain people know just to avoid metagaming.
