About Michael
I'm a long-time GM and player of all kinds of tabletop games. For the past 20+ years I've enjoyed telling stories with friends. From poignant narrative moments to daring rescues to terrifying fights. I love trying new genres and systems, but what really pulls me back into role-playing again and again is the community aspect. Spending time with people playing games we all love. Crafting stories and characters and sharing them with each other. Exploring worlds of imagination. Being surprised by dice rolls. All the things that make role-playing a unique form of entertainment and enrichment. I describe my GMing style as welcoming and fun-focused. We're all at the table to have a good time and I see GMing as a chance to help make that happen for my players. I enjoy building unique experiences for each player to give them a chance to shine in the game and challenging groups so they have to work together to overcome obstacles. When I'm not playing games I enjoy trying out new dishes in the kitchen, finding local restaurants, or taking my dog around the neighborhood.

How Michael runs games
My GMing style is narrative focused, embracing roleplay and combat that serves the story. I'm all about exploring character backstories, finding those amazing story beats, and discovering emergent moments with the group. We're all searching for those great stories that can be told for years after a game session ends and I love helping players find them.
