About Alex Glaser

I’ve been playing tabletop RPGs for about 10 years, starting with D&D 5e as a teenager and eventually transitioning into primarily running Pathfinder 1e. At this point, most of my experience is behind the screen, running long-term campaigns, published Adventure Paths, and homebrew games. As a GM, I focus on consistency, immersion, and player-driven storytelling. I like games where character decisions matter, the world reacts over time, and players feel like they’re part of something meaningful rather than just moving between encounters. I tend to run with a more grounded tone, which helps the more heroic moments stand out when they’re earned. I’ve run a range of campaigns including Curse of Strahd, Strange Aeons, Kingmaker, and other long-form games, along with homebrew settings built around strong group dynamics and long-term progression. At the table, I prioritize reliability and respect for players’ time. Sessions start when scheduled, I come prepared, and I aim to create an environment where players feel comfortable engaging with the story and each other. My goal is to build consistent groups that stay together and see full campaigns through.

I became a GM because

I became a GM because I love bringing worlds to life and giving players stories they can truly feel part of. My favorite games balance immersion, strong pacing, meaningful choices, and moments where every character gets a chance to shine.

My favorite system of all Time is

Pathfinder 1e. It offers great depth and variety in the character customization, which is what I love most, while still rewarding smart play, strong roleplay, and long-term campaign investment.

How Alex Glaser runs games

My games lean heavily into roleplay, character decisions, and long-term storytelling. I like running worlds that feel grounded and reactive. What you do matters, and the consequences carry forward. I tend to keep a more serious tone, which helps the bigger moments stand out when they are earned. Whether it is a hard-fought victory, a risky decision paying off, or a character reaching a turning point, I want those moments to feel meaningful rather than routine. Combat is present and can be dangerous, but it is not the sole focus. I try to keep encounters fair and engaging, and I reward creativity and smart play over just following optimal strategies. I also put a strong emphasis on consistency and pacing. Sessions start on time, I come prepared, and I work to keep things moving without rushing important scenes. Overall, my goal is to create games where players feel invested in both their characters and the group, and where the story develops naturally from the choices made at the table.

Alex Glaser's ideal table

My table is best for players who enjoy immersion, strong roleplay, meaningful choices, and a campaign that takes itself seriously without losing room for humor, personality, and player creativity. I run games with clear pacing, strong preparation, and a focus on player agency, character spotlight, and long-term payoff. I want players to feel like their decisions matter, their characters belong in the world, and each session is building toward something worthwhile. The best fit at my table is someone who shows up consistently, stays engaged, respects the other people at the table, and wants to contribute to a collaborative story rather than dominate it. I enjoy groups that get invested in the setting, care about their characters, and are willing to lean into both the dramatic and tactical sides of play. Experience level matters less to me than attitude, communication, and a genuine interest in the game. The overall vibe at my table is focused, welcoming, immersive, and dependable. I like games with emotional weight, memorable NPCs, hard-earned victories, and moments where every character gets a chance to shine. My goal is to provide a table that feels organized, fair, and worth showing up for week after week.
