About Areka Sadaro

I've been GMing for 25 years. I run games for one reason: for a few hours you get to be someone else, take real risks, make meaningful choices, and earn stories your group will still be telling years from now. My tables are fiction first and rulings over rules. I prep a strong foundation, then improvise around your characters. No railroading. No adversarial GMing. I want you to push the world, negotiate with it, outsmart it, break it, and surprise me. Expect a living setting, music and atmosphere, and a tone that blends immersion, grimdark edges, and comedy. Stakes are real. You can die. But I always telegraph danger, roll openly, and give fair information so your decisions matter. I love teaching new players, and I love veterans with sharp instincts. If you commit to the fiction and embody your character, you will fit right in. If you prefer treating RPGs like a pure optimization puzzle, we probably will not vibe. I am a professional GM because I want to run more games than I could casually, and I take the craft seriously. After each session, players nominate someone else for extra XP and explain why. It builds memory, gratitude, and stronger group bonds. I always ask for feedback so the table improves session by session. Based in Argentina, flexible time zones. English or Spanish. Campaigns preferred, 3 hour sessions. Main systems: Mothership, Mythic Bastionland, Shadowdark. Also: Call of Cthulhu, Symbaroum, Blade Runner RPG, Slugblaster, Shadowrun Anarchy, Heart: The City Beneath and Any of the TTRPGs you see listed here in my profile. I do not run: DnD 5e, Daggerheart, Candela Obscura, Thirsty Sword Lesbians, Errant. Safety: CATS, Lines and Veils, and clear communication. Sexual violence is a hard no.

I got started GMing...

because I craved the freedom no PC RPG can give and I love building stories. No one else could run, so I stepped in. Early sessions were messy, but I was hooked instantly. I enjoy playing, but GMing gives me something nothing else does. When the table clicks, it’s pure lightning in a bottle.

My favorite books are

Don Quijote de la Mancha The Lord of the Rings The Earthsea Cycle Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World Elric of Melniboné 2001: A Space Odyssey Brave New World Solaris The Martian Chronicles Valis The Adventures of Tom Sawyer Journey to Ixtlan Everything by Jules Verne and Horacio Quiroga

How Areka Sadaro runs games

I run tight, cinematic sessions built on tension, atmosphere, and meaningful consequences. My games are character first, but never safe: your choices matter, risk is real, and outcomes are earned. I do not railroad. I shape the pace and pressure, then let players drive the direction. Expect a table with: - Immersion and roleplay with NPCs that push back - Sharp pacing and focused scene framing - Rulings over rules to keep things moving - Fiction first freedom where anything is possible if it makes sense in world - Creative solutions rewarded over mechanical routines - Consequences that linger and shape the future If you want a GM who blends strong narrative momentum with real player agency, you will feel right at home at my table.

I prep by

...tracking what the players are doing, outlining the likely locations, key NPCs/monsters, and any maps or loot I might need. I update factions, clocks, and consequences so the world reacts to your choices. Then I stay flexible and improvise off players ideas.

My games focus on...

interactive, immersive fiction: a few hours where the real world fades and your choices shape a living story. The goal is the kind of campaign you keep replaying in your head between sessions, planning your next move all week.

Rules are...

A toolkit, not a cage. I use rules to reinforce the tone and style of the fiction, keep play fair and consistent, and lean rulings over rules. If a clever idea makes sense in the world, we’ll find a way to make it work. Always fiction first.

Areka Sadaro's ideal table

My table is a pocket of fantasy: a few hours where the real world fades and the story pulls you in. I aim for full immersion, where you don’t just play a character, you become them. I listen closely, improvise constantly, and weave player ideas into the world so the adventure feels personal and alive. I protect the tone we’re going for, but I’m not strict or joyless. Humor is welcome, and I’ll tune the vibe to the experience we want. What matters is that your actions have weight: choices shape the story, and consequences ripple outward. From character creation onward, I focus on party chemistry, shared ties, and strong hooks so the campaign starts with momentum. If you want immersion, roleplay, and a story you’ll remember like your favorite show, you’ll fit right in.

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table

- immersive roleplay in a living world - meaningful choices and lasting consequences - improvisation built on your ideas - driving the action instead of just reacting - creative play, strong party dynamics, and a fun table vibe

I love it when a player

...becomes an active participant in the fiction. They don’t just control a character, they embody them: wants, fears, beliefs, and worldview. That’s when they surprise me best. They don’t just react, they propose bold choices and creative plans.

My perfect party mix is

...complementary playstyles: proactive drivers, deep roleplayers, quiet observers who chime in at the right moment, sharp problem-solvers, and action-lovers. When it clicks, the story has momentum and teeth. I only have to manage the spotlight so that everyone shines.
