About ItsVin

So here is my tldr of my GMing experience: - I used to stream and create DnD content focused on immersive experiences before and well into the pandemic. - I tried creating a ttrpg once (https://msngrproject.itch.io/fueled-by-hope) - 7+ years of Dming and now 6 months into Daggerheart with an interest in mastering Daggerheart - 2 completed short DnD campaigns. (3-5 sessions) - 1 completed long DnD campaign (3 years) - Countless oneshots - Produced and organized about 5 actual plays How I got into TTRPGs + Gming. I jumped into ttrpgs in 2012ish and fully immersed myself in 2019. It started with me DMing for dnd for a bunch of my childhood friends. It was our way of reconnecting after everyone going onto their separate paths around the world. So basically Gming was how I got into the whole TTRPG space. At my core, Gming is all about building a space, it was my attempt at finding a home that allowed people to escape to and feel like themselves. It was also a way for me to connect with friends and make new ones! One of my favorite niches to build communities in with the amount of love and creativity that thrives within it. I fell in love with the creativity and ability to pull emotions from people that is in ttrpgs. Ever since then TTRPGs were something I couldn't run away from haha.

I ran my first game...

for 7 players around the world as a dm. Which evolved into a rotating cast of 12 players and it ran for a full year and had an ending. I got thrown into the deep end of ttrpgs and i dug in deep haha. I'm so happy it has something that has stuck with me for so long.

I started running games because...

I missed my friends who have started their lives around the world. It became something we could all look forward to each weekend to get away from our daily routines. It also became a way for my friends and I to get silly but also find ways to work through whatever might be bothering us in our lives.

When I'm not running games I'm...

Travelling around Tokyo! Volunteering at Art Events and exploring life in japan!

How ItsVin runs games

I'm primarily a vibe based DM, focusing on rule of cool and small narrative movements. If i had a specialty it would be translating online games into more immersive experiences full with visual gimmicks and creative interactions. This extends to how I run my games, I get a special kick out of gming for small groups, especially since I prefer to make games almost movie/series-like. I will take your favorite tropes and do my best to execute it well, all with your player character's lore intwined as much as I can. Safe to say, I am more RP focused than tactical combat. BUT I will use my love for MMO raids to build combat scenarios that make sense! If you like flexible times, tables planned like tv seasons, feeling like a badass, and drowning in the roleplay. My table is catered for you. If you are big on content creation, I also fully support that kind of interest and provide resources to make it easier for you. When it comes my inspirations, I definitely pull from my own personal travels/living situations and it tends to show in my games. With influences from different cultures and mannerisms, this also extends towards my players! TLDR, cross-cultural things are my jam and butter. So working with people from all walks of life and cultures is a welcomed opportunity for me. At the end of the day, my goal is to provide a space for people to escape to and have fun.

ItsVin's ideal table

My table runs on vibes and not stat blocks. I run RP-First and rule of cool. Expect sessions built like episodes that has sections for each character to shine. You'll fit in if you're curious, a bit chaotic, and more interested in what your character does and feels. If youre new to ttrpgs entirely or even roleplaying! Even better, I genuinely love introducing you to a space that welcomes that. I've ran games for players across a dozen different backgrounds, cultures, and time zones. I believe that mix is part of what makes my table even better on top of my love for drama and a bit of extra love for the immersion. Bring good vibes, your curiosity, and whatever character concept you've been sitting on. Then we'll figure out the rest together!

I am for a vibe that's...

cinematic, a bit chaotic, and built for people who want to dive into feeling "local" when playing a world. Think a TV Season's pacing with a rule of cool writer who had too many Literature studies growing up. Get emotionally invested, feel the world!

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table

tropes being done well, sharing the spotlight, and a GM who'll do their best to build a session that prioritizes your immersion. Bonus points, if you've ever wanted to feel like you can imagine an animation of your character going ham and want to feel that in a game.

My perfect party mix is

a group of friends or soon to be friends who by session 2-3 are already diving into the inside jokes and sharing the spotlight. Big "Yes-and" Energy and respect is the core of the party. How you play is only a matter of preference.
