About Groucho
I've had 20+ years on both sides of the screen. I've been paid for GMing before in the form of a Convention ticket (Con on the Cob), which is a gaming convention near where I live: Macedonia, Ohio. I like dogs. I play Rule Of Cool, with the Caveat of a skill roll. I know many different systems and love learning more. I primarily use foundry for my games. I use fade-to-black for romantic interludes so please don't flirt with me, I suck at it. I have a degree in acting and professional experience on the stage as well as experience in an improv group: Scared Scriptless.

How Groucho runs games
Each System has a certain feel for it that lends itself to certain play styles. Call of Cthulhu, for example, is dark and moody. You want your players to experience a certain level of creepiness rather than over the top heroics (That's Achtung! Cthulhu). By contrast, D&D is all about heroics (mostly). You want your players to feel as though they're heroes overcoming impossible odds. Even Pathfinder and Starfinder 2E have differences in tone besides essentially being the same system. Cypher system is really a series of systems (Numenera, We are all mad here, No thank you evil, etc.) so one game can be vastly different from another, even though the core is the same. For this reason, all my games are different. I try to match the system with the style of play intended: Uncanny Valley for Call of Cthulhu, Heroism for D&D, and Gritty Action for Pathfinder. I've even developed a setting for Starfinder 2E that lends itself to religious tension/conflict. I will be posting a short blurb explaining the feel of each game when I post it to allow players to know what they're getting into but as for a consistency between systems, I don't have that. Some will be roleplay, while others will be roll-play. Some will have high-stakes combat, some will have little to no combat at all. I am dynamic, and my games reflect this.

Groucho's ideal table
Roleplayers fit best at my table. You can min-max if you want, as long as you've got a storyline that backs it up.
