About Chris Caouette

✨ About Me I’ve been a Dungeon Master for over a decade, primarily using the 2014 D&D 5e ruleset—and slowly moving into the 2024 edition with excitement for the new material. I’ve had the privilege of professionally DMing with RPG Tabletop In A Castle, where I ran a fully condensed Out of the Abyss campaign across 25 hours of gameplay. I’ll be returning this January to run Ghosts of Saltmarsh with the same amazing team. I am also a composer of virtual fantasy soundtracks with Wayfarer Records.

How Chris Caouette runs games

🎭 My Style My games are immersive and story-driven, blending cinematic music, ambient soundscapes, and full NPC voice acting to bring the world to life. I balance role-playing, exploration, and combat, where you might uncover ancient mysteries, solve clever puzzles, or face epic challenges. I welcome both new and veteran players, encouraging everyone to play in the style that feels right for them—whether stepping boldly into character or enjoying the story from a quieter seat. Each campaign begins with a Session Zero survey so I can tailor the experience to your group’s preferences and play style. 🧙 My Goal Let me weave you a story that leaves you wanting more. “I can’t wait for the next session.”

I deal with rules issues by...

listening to the player's input and checking the hive-mind to see if I am mistaken about something because there are just so many to keep track of. From there I'll make a decision.

Rules are...

generally followed but I will allow a rule of cool when needed.

When it comes to voices

I encourage voicing your characters but it is not required. If you are not comfortable with a 1st person voice, you could say "my character asks ..."

Chris Caouette's ideal table

At my table, you’ll find a comfortable balance of role-play and combat, with a chill, story-first vibe. The goal is simple: tell a great story together and make sure everyone has fun. Rules are important, but I’m never afraid to bend them a little if it serves the narrative. I welcome everyone—from curious beginners to seasoned adventurers—and encourage players to voice-act their characters if they’d like, though it’s never required. So relax, roll some dice, and enjoy the adventure!
