About Christopher Leger

I started playing dnd in high school. It was just a group of friends in someone's bedroom where the dm just said random stuff and we all just rolled with it but, it got me interested to learn more and I've been all in ever since. Another player in that group got the then new 5th edition D&D rules and started a campaign that lasted the next 5 years. After finding a group to play with in college, I started to DM and really fell in love with the game. I ran a game each year of college some starting from a pre-written module and continuing on after the end of the campaign and some entirely homebrewed. I've played with players with years of experience and helped get people who had never played before join in. I've had some of those newer players start campaigns of their own and come to me for advice on how to better run their games. Now I work as a software engineer and run a game on the weekend with my wife and some friends and continue my passion for tabletop games. I have also played in a couple of Powered by the Apocalypse games and have been reading up on Pathfinder.

How Christopher Leger runs games

I run games that are split pretty evenly between roleplay and combat. I enjoy giving everyone a chance to shine in whatever interests them about the game. I'm always interested in making sure each character is engaged in the story and has some personal stakes in it. I'm more than happy to help new players learn the game and find the thing they love about it. I love working alongside the players to craft scenarios that they want to see their characters in or create items that fit just how they imagine their character to be. I do my best to give a healthy mix of situations for their character to thrive at what they are good at and be challenged by what their character lacks and persevere through those obstacles.

My games focus on...

Story/Narrative. I think that the most fun of the game comes from incorporating a character into a story. I also think that good fun combat is just as much part of the storytelling as the roleplaying is.

When it comes to voices

I like to do some voice but some characters will probably sound the same lol

Christopher Leger's ideal table

My ideal table includes several people who are interested in the collaborative storytelling that tabletop games encourage. Players that are happy to share the spotlight to have a good story moment for another character and embrace even the moments where dice rolls don't favor success.
