About Jaleel T.

I'm a collaborative story teller with experience in a few different types of tabletop games and still learning more. (All d20 systems though) With 7 years of experience i want to tell great stories with my players and have them be a beast when it come to combat, even allowing homebrew in my games. I want my players to have fun and crazy stories to tell and have heartfelt moments with myself and the others at the table. From full campaigns to One Shots.

I got started GMing...

So when I started my first year of college and a friend mentioned dungeons and dragons I was instantly hooked. So with the books, map, and monopoly pecies I started telling stories surrounding my friends and grew more interested in the game.

My favorite books are

I enjoy these books due to both the story and the magic systems involved with them. Giving me ideas for homebrew themes or items for a campaign. #1. He Who Fights With Monsters (Series) #2 Azarinth Healer (Series #3 I'm Not the Hero (Series)

When I'm not running games I'm...

I have a full-time job so I'm often working 10hr shifts, but listen to audio books while . Playing tabletop games is my fun time, as well as Larping (Live Action Role Play). As well as spend time with my boyfriend.

How Jaleel T. runs games

I want to know what kind of story you want to tell with your character and their goals. That way I can better prepare things that you and your character would enjoy doing. I include exploration, downtime activities, combat, and some political intrige. I'm up for working with the player for a homebrew weapon, armor, or spell that fit the characters theme without breaking the game. I'm not afraid of having powerful players, it just means I get to try out stronger and more interesting encounters I haven't been able to try yet. Typically I give an idea of the campaign and allow players to make a backstory and find threads that connect them with the campaign. As well as ask if its okay that I add a detail in their backstory that they may not know. I could let you know outright or save it for the reveal.

Jaleel T.'s ideal table

My tables are a safe place for all to shine in the spotlight and get creative or innovative with things they know even outside of the game. At my table everyone has free range to be the powerful or cool character they have mapped out in their head. The type of players that fit my table are those that are open to collaborating with myself and other players to build each other up and tell stores you can gloat about to your coworkers the next day.
