About Andrew Ferrell
I've been an avid D and D fan since I was 19. I started DM-ing for a group of friends and fell in love with being able to tell a story and help my players shape how it all unfolds. After that I branched out into other systems suchs as Dark Heresy, Call of Cthulhu, Traveller and Pathfinder to name a few. Since having kids I have slowed down on being a Game Master but recently I have found myself with a wealth of free time and have a desire to run games again. I spend hours at work world building and designing scenarios for a daring group of adventurers to find out the secrets of. I have tons of notebooks filled with the mad scribbled down ideas that would make for a good social encounter.

My favorite books are
I love reading the Horus Heresy books and have a good collection of Dan Abnett. I grew up reading the Redwall series and have plenty of fantasy novels I read with regularity.
How Andrew Ferrell runs games
As a GM i love players who can roleplay. I love being a more off the cuff game style that grows and changes as the players make decisions. I have goals for the sessions and campaigns I run but how we reach them and what we encounter is entirely dependent on the choices made by the players. I think the game is more fun if we are all organically developing where the story leads together and that shadowy figure in the corner of the tavern you all ignored has a chance to begin his evil plans before you meet him can make for just as interesting a story.

My games focus on...
The players. Their choices drive the narrative not the other way around.
Andrew Ferrell's ideal table
I want players to have a great time. I want to craft a story together. There will be goals to meet but you won't be railroaded into one singular story direction. This means the players need to engage with the story so they can help shape it.

Does not belong at the table. A player should be able to separate their knowledge from what their character knows.
