About Korbin

Hey there, I'm Korbin! I've been GMing for over 10 years. I'm a huge fan of TTRPG's and the stories we tell through them. I'm a flexible and inclusive GM, who loves sculpting the game and it's style to the group of people playing. If you're a group who likes the crunchy/nitty gritty rules grind, or a group that prefers the Rule of Cool, I'm happy to set whichever climate you find more enjoyable. I'm more than happy to teach new players who are just starting off. I also enjoy taking veteran groups through intense high power campaigns to godhood. My table is inclusive and friendly of all peoples with any background. So please come to sessions with your best foot forward and lets all have a good time!

My 3 systems I'd bring to a desert island would be

Pathfinder 1st edition, it was my intro to TTRPGS. 5e D&D, it brought together my life long friends. Vampire the Masquerade 5e, for the fun dark setting they give us to play in.

How Korbin runs games

I like to think of myself as an adaptable GM. I prefer to meet my players at whatever level they're looking for. I've had tables that were nitty gritty and liked complex rules with interesting loopholes to exploit. I've also had tables that just wanted the rule of cool to be the all encompassing rule. My biggest priority is that everyone at the table is having fun; and that everyone feels included in whatever chaos is playing out.

My games focus on...

player engagement and enjoyment. The whole point of TTRPG's is to have fun telling wild stories. So I work hard to ensure each player gets their moment to shine and their own arc in the campaign.

Korbin's ideal table

My table thrives when players like to collaborate in the story telling. I also love high power, high fantasy games. For standing campaigns I like getting player input on the type of campaigns they want to be playing in. I'm also enjoy homebrewing content for my tables. I believe in the Rule of Cool/Fun. If you have a vision for your character, lets make it happen. I've spent a decade honing my game knowledge so that players can have their OP characters and still keep the game balanced. Feel free to message me if you have particular game in mind. I love creating custom campaigns for my player.

I think metagaming...

has a time and a place. Which I help guide my table to know when it is and isn't appropriate. Overall though, I typically alter monsters so that there is always a surprise, even to the most veteran players.

I think min/maxing...

is fun when done right. As long as the table is all onboard, min\max can give fun roleplaying dynamics. But I do like to ensure everyone at the table is enjoying it. I'm always ready to help guide newer players in a min\max campaign so that everyone feels useful.
