About Aisling
I got my start GMing back in high school with a little game called Rolemaster and, thirty years later, I'm still going at it. In that time I've GMed numerous groups through several different systems using both in-person and online formats. I've run groups through several pre-written campaigns, but I also have several homebrew worlds that I enjoy re-visiting with groups as well, letting their actions spin the development of those worlds in fun directions. Recently, with the boom in TTRPG systems, I've been eager to explore new and different systems and ways of running games that keep things fresh and exciting.

My 3 systems I'd bring to a desert island would be
- Pathfinder 2E, I know the rules backward and forward and could GM it in my sleep. - Fallout RPG, It's the newest one I've GMed and I'm just enjoying it so much. - D6 System, It's an old one, but it's simple, streamlined, and a ton of fun.
How Aisling runs games
I love to run games with an emphasis on roleplay, player choice/influence on the world, and noticeable stakes. Even when running a pre-written campaign, I strive to include plenty of opportunity for the players to influence the course, and to interact with the world around them in meaningful ways. But when it comes time to draw swords, blasters, or guns, I keep combat moving quickly, dynamic, and exciting because there is just as much opportunity to tell a story through conflict as their is through quiet moments around the campfire. All in all, I am looking for the players at my table to all feel included and valued as they each have fun. Because that's the reason any of us do this. To have fun. And if we're all having fun, then that's a win for all of us!

Rules are...
There to provide a framework. I don't feel tied to them, but I work very hard to ensure that rules are consistent across a campaign.
Aisling's ideal table
My ideal table is one in which everyone is having fun. I've had many great tables with all kinds of players and the one thing that has always been true is that as long as everyone was enjoying themselves, the game, characters, theme, or setting didn't matter.

I love it when a player
Gets really into describing their actions. This not only pulls in the other players, but gives me as a GM lots to work with in extrapolating that detail into that scene and others.
