About Christian Morcillo

I’ve had a love for games my entire life. From crunchy mechanics to unique artwork, I’ve always been drawn to the way play can deliver both escapist fun and deeper themes. Some of my favorite stories have come from games, where interaction and immersion make the experience unforgettable. I stumbled into TTRPGs through roleplay-heavy board games, and soon after, D&D. Just three sessions in, I realized I was better suited behind the DM screen, crafting worlds, weaving encounters, and shaping stories that players bring to life through their choices. At my table, you can expect immersive storytelling, engaging roleplay, and exciting challenges. New players are welcome, I’ll guide you through the rules as we go, while veterans will find satisfying encounters that reward clever play. Above all, I believe a good story told well is worth living, and I can’t wait to create one together with you, some friends, and a whole lot of dice.

I became a GM because

I became a GM because I love stories. I enjoy creating worlds where players can step in as storytellers and shape the fates of their characters. Through challenges—whether physical or emotional—I strive to guide players toward the hero’s (or villain’s) journey their character deserves.

How Christian Morcillo runs games

My games focus on story-first, character-driven adventures with cinematic flair and meaningful player choices. I love roleplay (both the dramatic and the ridiculous) and I encourage players to help shape the world through their actions, backstories, and relationships. Expect rich environments, evolving NPCs, and moral complexity woven into the narrative. Combat at my table is tactical and intentional. I like to use dynamic maps, layered terrain, and creative monster tactics to reward teamwork and clever thinking. I like battles to feel like important moments in the story, not just filler encounters. I strive to keep players immersed through visual aids (like custom battlemaps or props), consistent tone, and in-world logic. Whether it’s political intrigue, eldritch horror, or survival in the desert wastes, the world will feel alive, and it will remember your choices. Above all, I aim for a collaborative story telling experience. Safety tools are always in place, and I check in with players to ensure we’re all having fun. If you love rich roleplay, meaningful decisions, and a game that reacts to your choices, you’ll feel right at home at my table.

Rules are...

Rules are a framework to begin with. They keep the game world organized and consistent. They SHOULD be bent! ... if and when it makes sense for the STORY A character having a moment and a chance to shine is the perfect time to bend the rules (within reason).

Christian Morcillo's ideal table

I’m looking for players who want to explore not just the game world, but their character’s place in it. I love seeing character moments that move the story forward in a natural way, driven by personal motivation.
