About Juniel
My experience with tabletops started at high school lunch tables playing D&D before I could even understand what the game was, but the idea sucked me in. I played in many groups throughout the years and found that a lot of my friends wanted to play as well but were too scared to GM so I wanted to offer that to them. I started GM'ing in 2018 and have been working my skills up ever since. I find tabletop games to be a beautifully collaborative way to play, which is why not only am I inspired by famous GMs and content creators but also the people I have played with at my tables.

How Juniel runs games
My style of GMing is very heavy on collaborative story-telling and world building. I do my best to incorporate my player's backstories, strengths, and flaws into the story itself to either build or release tension. My combat style tends to be quick paced and descriptive, I always encourage (but don't require) players to use flavorful language to describe their attacks and/or spells. One of my favorite things I like to incorporate is finding ways that characters already know each other before the campaign, not only does this help me as a GM to understand your characters and stories but automatically gives my players fun ways to interact with each other.

My favorite trope is...
slow burn romance. While this has only ever kinda been incorporated once (in my currently campaign), I am a sucker for these cliche tropes of will they won't they? Some other favorite tropes of mine both as a player and a GM are "Sibling Rivalry", "Lovers to Enemies", "Even Evil Has Standards".
Juniel's ideal table
I tend to mesh well who with players who are excited about collaborative storytelling. I love those who are not only trying to experience their own character grow but can share the spotlight. I feel honored when my players engage with the world around them and ask questions. My ideal table would communicate with me and each other and find a way to connect with the world and the narrative. They would have personal stakes to be adventuring or be involved in this scenario.

I love it when a player
Really delves into their characters and get into social scenes between each other, when they strengthen those bonds or cause tension. I do also love it when they take the time to breathe life into their characters by writing a well thought out backstory.
I think min/maxing...
Is actually not as bad as people make it out to be. I find it to be a unique challenge that pushes my limits as a GM. Min/Maxers have caused me to think outside the box in order to find unique ways to challenge my players. So long as everyone at the table is having fun that's what's important
