About Pillage Idiot
I am a long-time enjoyer of tabletop RPG's, beginning at a young age in the 80s and continuing to play my entire life. I have experience Dungeonmastering in multiple formats, including Play by Post on the 3rd Edition WoTC Forums, in person as an Adventurer League Dungeonmaster at both large conventions and in local stores. I have taught Dungeons and Dragons to everyone from my friends to my kids to celebrities. And I look forward to playing with you! I'm a credited play tester for several of R. Talsorian's Cyberpunk Red supplements, and I also have extensive experience with Dungeons & Dragons. I'm just beginning to learn Mothership which looks like a lot of fun!

I got started GMing...
I got started GM-ing with my friends at middle-school. This new game called Dungeons & Dragons didn't have a game board and allowed for any move you could imagine. It completely blew our minds! And it's been continuing to blow my mind ever since.
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
Cinematic, creative, and full of surprises.
How Pillage Idiot runs games
My games are both light-hearted and serious; our heroes can irreverently laugh their way through obstacles while feeling the tense pressure of failure. There are many ways to enjoy tabletop RPG's, from humorous role-play, to high-stakes combat, suspenseful mysteries, careful resource management, and tense exploration. What each of these elements have in common, however, is that they each present a challenge that the character must overcome. NPC's serve as allies or obstacles, and role-play is one type of tool to overcome those obstacles. Exploration provides puzzles that can be interesting mysteries or dangerous traps. Combat is a tactical duel with failure leading to rolling up a new character. My favorite challenges are ones that players, not just their characters, have to work together to overcome.
Pillage Idiot's ideal table
My ideal table is a diverse group of players who are willing to share an imagined world and make their mark on it.
