About Adam, the Multifarious
I've been GMing and playing TTRPGs since just before the pandemic started (great timing, I know). I mostly play DnD 5e with friends, and have finished several multi-year campaigns as a GM and a player. Recently, I've started dabbling with other systems including Shadowdark, Mythic Bastionland, Daggerheart, Nimble, Blades in the Dark, and Never Stop Blowing Up.

How Adam, the Multifarious runs games
My goal at the table is to forge an environment where all players have fun, feel welcome, and are excited to play every session. The vibe I cultivate at my tables is one where the player characters take the world seriously and the players don't take the game too seriously. I follow the Rule of Cool and I'm a devout follower of Dice Christ. I love a character voice, a rich story, and strong agency for the player characters to influence and change the world they live inside of. I tend to run games that feel grounded in a believable world. I love roleplay (expect character voices), emotionally engaging story lines, and posing difficult choices for characters. In terms of combat, I try to keep encounters objective-focused as opposed to hack-and-slash. I like players to keep their turns moving in combat (let's keep those turns moving quickly) so that encounters don't drag. I like to avoid getting too crunchy with too many homebrew rules, but a few standards I like to include are taking a level of exhaustion on death save fails, enforcing an encumbrance system, and ensuring that magic-users adhere to the components required for their spells. I only seek a few things from my players: A positive attitude, a willingness to collaborate with and support others, and excitement to engage with the story we're telling together. A character voice is cool too, but certainly not necessary.
