About Anthony
Hi! I’m a 34-year-old DM with 18+ years of experience, starting in 3.5E and now running primarily 5e. I focus on immersive, story-driven campaigns in homebrew worlds where player choices matter. My style is narrative-heavy and rules-light, leaning into the “rule of cool” when it enhances the fun. I love long campaigns full of twists, lore, and big character moments. I welcome all players—especially those who enjoy roleplay, creative problem solving, and collaborative storytelling. New to D&D? I’m happy to help you ease in, often tying new characters to more experienced ones to help build confidence and connection. I run a full Session 0 with safety tools and content questionnaires to make sure everyone’s comfortable and having fun. I roll in the open to keep things fair and tense, and I’m always willing to adapt to player creativity when things go off the rails—in fact, that’s when the best moments happen. I currently use Roll20, Discord, and D&D Beyond (with Foundry on the horizon), and I often create custom content to support my worlds. Voices and accents? Occasionally. Fun, story, and weird surprises? Always. Let’s tell a great story together.

I became a GM because
When I was a teenager my friends and I wanted to play D&D we played a few very dry sessions of 3.5 and I really enjoy telling stories and world building and decided that I wanted my friends to play in my homebrew world and everyone had a blast. I have been DM'ing homebrew games ever since!
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
-Fun -Fair -Accommodating
When I'm not running games I'm...
Lifting, watching anime, writing, running my company, playing video games, or being a dad
How Anthony runs games
My GM style is rooted in storytelling, collaboration, and letting player choices shape the world. I run games that are narrative-heavy and rules-flexible, with a focus on character development, creative problem-solving, and group storytelling. I don’t get hung up on mechanical minutiae if something cool is on the table—if it makes sense and adds to the story, I’m likely to say yes and roll with it. I love running long-form campaigns where player actions have lasting consequences, and I enjoy weaving character backstories directly into the world. I aim to give players moments to shine, whether they’re making bold moves in combat, uncovering lore, or having heartfelt scenes in a tavern. I’m not here to “win” D&D—I’m here to build something awesome with my players. I roll in the open and don’t fudge outcomes, which keeps tension high and victories satisfying. I’m also responsive to what the group enjoys most: if your party gets deeply invested in roleplay, expect more social scenes; if you like tactical puzzles, I’ll feed you those too. My tables are welcoming to all players. I love helping newer players ease into the game, and I always run a Session 0 with safety tools to ensure comfort and clarity. Whether you’re a roleplay veteran or new to the game, if you’re here to have fun and tell a great story—you’ll fit right in.

I deal with rules issues by...
Ideally not having them. Most small issues will just be handled in the moment, however I am human and I do make mistakes so in important situations I will pause the game to verify certain things if necessary. That being said as long as their is no hostility it is honestly not a big deal.
I prep by
I love doing worldbuilding in my spare time. I am hoping to one day release my own setting so I take what happened in the last session and I develop an outline for the next session. I hate railroading players so it is a very loose outline with just enough to make sure we have a fun session!
When it comes to voices
Voices are fun but also limiting. I sometimes use voices to differentiate NPCs but I never require players to do voices. I want everyone to be comfortable at the table and as long as players feel comfortable that is all that matters, but if you can do a voice hell yeah I love it!
Anthony's ideal table
My ideal table is one where players really buy in to the fact that we are building a world together. I am giving the players the ink and quill and providing them with the parchment to tell their tale. As long as players are willing to play with the party and make the experience fun for everyone that is all I can ever ask. I do prefer players that are open to roleplay (this doesn't mean you need to do voices...but it does mean that you are ok getting in to characters and speaking through your character). I also want people to cheer for party members when it is their moment and not constantly need the spotlight on themselves.

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table
Exploring a vast homebrew world, rich in lore, while having fun with your party/fellow players.
I think metagaming...
Ruins the spirit of the game. I really appreciate characters getting into character and if your character wouldn't know it then they wouldn't know it. Your characters failures should be just as fun as their successes. We are building a story together... it's not a video game that you can beat.
I think min/maxing...
I personally hate it because it ruins the game for everyone else unless the party all decides they want to play characters like that. The issue is if that is the game you want then it just needs to be balanced around that which means you won't live out that power fantasy anyways. Time and Place.
