My favorite books are
the MistBorn series and the StormLight archive books are some of my favorites, with the one I'm currently reading being wind and truth.
My favorite shows/movies are
Jurassic Park, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Indiana Jones, along with newer shows and movies like Arcane, Into the Spider-verse, and the Wild Robot.
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
adaptive/flexible, cinematic, compelling.
How yahya runs games
I enjoy role-play as well as character voices, though I won't force anyone to do a voice or make them role-play something they are uncomfortable with. I would much rather tell a fun and engaging story than describe how you fail to attack a monster for the eleventh time. I enjoy making unique worlds with different cultures and places that players get to interact with rather than just hear about, and like to keep a flow to tension and action in my games.

I prep by
listening to a playlist I made for the campaign for a couple of minutes and then make a map of places that my players could go, such as a town or an apothecary. I then prep the monsters and enemies in case we get into combat, and then get my notes, dice and rulebooks ready for the actually game.
My games focus on...
the players, my job is to provide a fun and engaging story that you will like, if that story is being the villain or opportunistic criminals then I am more than happy to run that. My games also tend to focus on cooperation and working together to achieve a common goal.
When it comes to voices
I love doing voices, and I'm more than happy if a player wants to do a voice, but it's not needed, if you don't want to do voices you do not have to.
yahya's ideal table
my table is very player sided, any player is welcome as long as they are respectful and understanding of other players. the vibe can dip into many different things such as wonder or horror. building tension and massive payoffs are a huge part of the game, with things like that oftentimes being a huge part of the games that I run. new players are always welcome as I have had experience with teaching many new players how to play the game quickly and for providing them a safe space to learn and make mistakes.

I love it when a player
figures out the story before I fully reveal it, it shows that they are listening and trying to be a part of the game, interacting with the place I made and trying to be a part of it just as much as I am.
I think metagaming...
has a lot of nuance to whether or not it should be allowed. for instance, if an outcome of a roll is ESPECIALLY bad, I will tell the player above table what it will be, and allow them to decide if they still want to go through with it. if a player attempts to meta game then it depends on why & what.
I think min/maxing...
is okay as long as you are mindful of other players enjoyment. if a player wants to make sure they do massive damage in combat, then that is fine, just make sure that other players are still having fun as you do so.
